Good morning from Maine. I’ve always been a follower of your channel. Lots of good information. There’s a lot of ups and downs in beekeeping wins and losses. I stopped doing the treatments many years ago. Maybe it’s cause we have short summers here who knows but my bees are healthy and less expensive for me to keep but I understand we all have to do as beekeepers. What we have to do. Have a nice day.😊
You a lot braver than me with that jacket not zipped all the way up. In Northwest Florida we hardly ever go completely broodless so I do multiple treatments.
Those big honkin Dewalt batteries do great with the vapes, but boy they are pricey. Always good to get out into the bee yard at the first of the year to see what’s what. Good luck in 2025.
Good timing on treatments. That OA vapor is some harsh stuff be VERY CAREFUL when using especially cleaning with water in pink cap. If you lose control of that cap you may get a face full of OA vapor and spray since it builds pressure. Dont ask me how i know.
I see you use reflective type insulation and no inner cover? Is that a better set-up for winter or just personal preference? I'm considering converting to a condensing hive.
Hi Brian, I have finally bit the bullet and got a forklift. Hurt myself lightly last spring and I realized my he man days are over. Hope you are doing well!
Nice to see you back making videos. I'm agree with you on the pallets. Bob makes some of the best I've seen. There is demand for them if he ever decides to sell the in his store.
Who's the guy in the Bee Suite with gloves? Little Expo work and you're just not as tough as you used to be apparently... Surprised the dirt rooster is letting you get away with this. 😛
Kam! More than excited for your videos and learning from you this year! I’m ready to expand this year only having one hive. I’m in zone 5a in Washington state expecting snow this weekend so it’ll be a min for me! 😂😂😂
Hi! I live in Tennessee a couple hours away from you. I tried treating my bees yesterday. I have a vaporizer like your bigger one. I read and followed the instructions, it is still very new, so I have only used it about 2 times. After it heated up, I put the plunger in it and nothing came out. Could you do a video on how to operate and properly use the bigger vaporizer. I would so appreciate it 😊
Kamon, it’s great to see you back in the yard. We have used Mike’s Bees EZ OX as well and works great. Enjoyed the Bee Expo and keep up the great work!🐝
I'm confused. On the Texas Bee Supply website it says Mike's EZ OX tablets are not compatible with the Lorob Bees InstantVap. Obviously they work for Kamon.
@@normanboyd it's just easier to use the powder, you add a little water and mix it up until it's got just enough to pack together. The tablets you have to drop them in and put the plunger in quick or use the cleaning cap with the tablets inside then invert it... the powder is just the cheaper and cleaner option...

It blows my mind how fast you saw the queen. She's illusive to me. Thanks for posting.

I'm really liking those little pink cleaning cup things. Yep, first time I used it I forgot to put my hand on it and that thing hit the ceiling.
L😆 I know the feeling! Those things shoot off like a rocket
Good stuff Kamon! I love the InstantVap vaporizers. Can really live fast with 2 of them.

Thanks Kamon! Can’t wait until spring. Here in mass we are still in the 30’s :(
We need the man, the myth, the legend Talon Redding in front of the camera!
Missed you. Awesome Demo. You seemed ultra casual about the safety protocols. I’m in Australia and it’s all a little serious with facemasks, etc
I have the lite and it works very well.
lol look how nice it is wow
Wow -27 now in my area 😅

Did you do any mite checks before treating?

How do you determine the amount of acid you need to use in a vaporizer?
I have leaky boxes so I use about 3 grams per deep
Happy Thursday! Lots of work for a slow time. Glad you could get a lil work outa Talon
Good 👍 to see a video from you in the yard. Why are you going to 4 Pallet set up Thanks

Important January Bee Work! There is only a day and a half left in January, better get moving. Great video as always. Thanks.

I am new and have two hives. How do you deal with mice? One destroyed my hives. thanks
Check out the aluminum entrance reducers at hillco
It's Jan and you converted some doubles down to singles. leaving them queenless till later?
So the hives are queen less and single?
@kamonreynolds that's what I sounded like you implied when you stated you converted some doubles to singles.
Finally seeing temps in the 50's here in WV
Loved the 3 days at the Expo!! Cant wait till next year! When will you put pollen patties on and full or half patty, or is it to early?
Apis cerana indica

Once you have the vaporizer loaded and in the hive opening, push the plunger down

@@normanboydBoth will work, the Inta vap is designed for powder.
