Great that is Sierra Leone for you. When the rains come they come in torrents. I vividly remember the ferry ride to Freetown and the ride to the hinterland to work. Kudos

      You once worked there?

I am a nurse and worked with an NGO called Jhpiego from 2004 to 2019. Some few years after the war my organisation sent 3 of us there to train some nurses in a very remote area. We spent 3 weeks there. We were to go back for follow up after a month but we did not go. Life was not easy, food was a problem, the roads then not easy. Most areas were destroyed during the war even the hospital we went to. We had to sleep in the ward. No hotel there except Freetown which was hundreds of miles away from our destination

I hope the place has been put in shape now. The only place you could ride on a tarred road then was in Freetown. The road to where we went was just through the bush and we kept asking the driver where he was taking us but he assured us we would get there and we got there. Even electricity was destroyed so no light

I believe the problem in sierra Leone is that Only few people eat snails, in sierra Leone , they complain that' isnail dont have bones 😁 some even attach religious beliefs into like seeing it as harmful to eat, places like the easten part of Sierra Leone where they have a lot cocoa farms you Will see snail all over roaming about. If you need snail just visit those villages around the eastern part with a little amount and the kids will pick a lot or you.
