    This is one of the most inspirational, practical and most importantly no-nonsense books. It really resonates with me. Thank you Brian for the review.

    If you could only read one book for motivation, this would be the one to go for.

      ***** Hey Brian, I watched this last night in bed before I went to sleep...and I kid you not, before the video was complete, I got out of bed and went into my office and did some serious rethinking of my goals and worked super hard on a project that I had been procrastinating on for ages. Slept at 4 am and woke up at 6am... feeling epic.
      So thank you for helping one more lost soul on this planet. Will be playing this one regularly.

    365 * 5 - 1/7th.
    Unbelievable..
    1/7th is 14.3% improvement.
    2/7th is 28.6% improvement.
    Wow - and most only work/practice 5 days out of 7..

    It is really funny, Brian. Yesterday I was dunk and when I am really drunk I always get over self confident. When I was lying in my bed I had to write some last notes like "I am the best. No body is better than me. There are NO LIMITS in my mind!"
    Funny coincidence. :) Thank you very much for sharing.

    • @HeroicBrian

      Herbert Ranzig Seneca comes to mind whenever I think of being drunk: “Drunkenness is nothing but a self-induced state of insanity.” + “So called pleasures, when they go beyond a certain limit, are but punishments.” :)

    This isn't the point, I get it but recovery is so important. Maybe the seventh day was an active recovery day.. Training is the stimulus, recovery is the adaptation

    Michael Phelps success its his body...meaning genetics.

    • @HeroicBrian
      @HeroicBrian  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Warrrrr No, it's not. Obviously he is blessed with a body well suited for competitive swimming but there are a LOT of guys who have similar bodies and only one of them did the near impossible and won 8 golds in one Olympics. Other titles you might enjoy exploring related to the myth that genetics determines success like this: brianjohnson.me/philosophersnotes-tag/10000-hours/
