How To Wire Wrap a Luna Crescent Moon Cabochon by Jem Hawkes Easy Moon Wrap

I've worked with moons for decades, long before making jewellery, I've written poetry, created artwork, doodled, added to clothing and much more; anything I could make Luna-esque, I would!
Following on from the Chaos Crescent, I wanted to share my go-to method for wire wrapping moon shaped cabochons or varying sizes.
I've used 1mm/18g round wire for the frame, but it works equally as well sizing up to 1.25mm/16g round wire.
I'm using Beadalon half round German Style wire, around a 20 or 21 gauge will work well. You CAN achieve this same look with round wire in similar gauges, but it's SOOO much neater with the half round and the wrapping will sit closer to the gem AND the framework.

Just so you can check your settings for when you allow ads, this video had seven ads interrupting you. Never happened before. Ads have always been first and last on your channel. @@JemHawkes LMAO 🤣😂😆 I'm 62 and fully understand 😅. If it wasn't for my grandson living here I would not have a clue. This happened all at once here in USA a few months ago with a upgrade to utube. Thats the only reason I knew what was happening. Good luck to you. I don't mind 3 if that's the goal. 😊

I hope.you're able to enjoy the tutorials, thanks so much for watching. As to electrical wire, it's worth trying a small sample to see how you get on, they don't tend to have the same flex as jewellery or craft wire, but you can test them for sure and see how you get on. Many folk do use recycled stripped cabling, just watch your fingers as stripping the cable outer sheath can be time consuming and then separating the wires may cut you, so proceed with extreme caution xxx
