I have a question, need help. I have a brushless servo motor I bought used and it has 9 wires coming out of the resolver. I can identify only 6 of them, the standard pairs. That leaves a bundle of three wired, 2 of which are wired into the connector but one is left hanging. Any idea of the function of these extre 3 wires? Thanks a lot
If we set 7 volts in the primary coil, what will be the peak voltage in the cosine coil at angle zero Is it 7 volts or less? The rule to find out the peak voltage at angle zero is as follows (peak potential of the cosine signal = voltage on the input coil x cosine of angle sita) (V cosine=Vr x cos cita)
oi - bom pergunta.
The sensor is powered with a reference frequency... around 10khz, and the answer comes in the amplitude variation between sine and cosine not phased out. When you connect the signals to the oscilloscope and visualize in XY scale, you get a straight line on which you follow the angle of the motor axis, so a resolver electronic circuit can also obtain speed and angular position of the axis with great precision.
Dear sir, If a servo drive gets fails, but motor and resolver is ok. Can we replace other brand driver to the same motor, can resolver supports and any alteration to be done.
@@learnchannel-TV hi! Sorry, I should have first said "great video!". I enjoyed the video on resolvers. I was curious also if you happen to have any similar type of video on synchro transducers? They are three phase devices. I really like how this resolver video creates the visual for understanding the feedback signal. I guess I'm just curious if you have a like and similar for synchro transducers.
Hello everyone Does anyone know if there is any rule between the number of polar pairs of the motor and the number of polar pairs of the converter? I have a pp=5 motor and pp = 2 converter and I am in doubt how to control it.
YES, you need to have a resolver that matches the motor pole pair count. I believe you can also double the pole count, e.g. a 3 pole resolver on a 6 pole motor.
This application appears to show secondary position feedback. That's a confusing part for some people. Normally you would just use the feedback device in the motor but in this case (CNC machine), the secondary feedback is used to close the position loop for enhanced accuracy. Just view this video as if he were referring to the feedback device in the motor.
@@rudrakalani I would prefer the absolute encoder. But if you have a rotational axis you have the only choice between resolver and incremental encoder. If the sensor is exposed to heat and dirt, you need a resolver.
Talking about rotary encoder you mean incremental or absolute encoder I guess. i have 2 videos about this in my laylist: th-cam.com/video/zzHcsJDV3_o/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/yOmYCh_i_JI/w-d-xo.html
resolver generates a sinuswave (ac) it only generates a voltage dependent on the numbers of evolution per minutes/second whatsever encoder generates A and B phase which are square wave signals,he also has a Z pin for referenz point
Great! The first explanation I've found that's made sense.
I wish my professor had shown this video.
That sounds great
So the primary winding is a way to basically induce voltage into the rotary winding as a transformer.
Yes
Hello, how do I know the engine speed, and the position as well, do you have some equations, thanks a lot
Thank you very much fot the translation in portuguese and the subtitles in spanish
learnchannel I translated the video into Portuguese, I am awaiting approval from TH-cam.
Sorry friend. I saw this right now. Thank you very much for your translation.
Desculpe amigo. eu vi tua translacao aghora. Muito obrigado.

@@triveshmishra5149 thanks I assume you mean the thermistor. I suppose I can ignore the third wire... thanks for replying

Encoder is best option 😂
sweet stuff. they are also used with motion control as speed and position. 😎 Thanks a lot.
Olá, eu troco os rolamentos do servo motor ( Parker ) com resolver, como faço pra achar a posição do resolver em relação ao eixo?
Plz sir...you tell me which you use software for making this type videos...plz tell me software name
hi - this vid was made with Blender.
olaa, seria necessário gerar este sinal de 10 Mghz ? nao tenho o gerador de sinal mas somente uma fonte de 5v. O que vc acha ?

How you measured the speed rotation?
The sensor is powered with a reference frequency... around 10khz, and the answer comes in the amplitude variation between sine and cosine not phased out. the sound effects are SO LOUD
Great video
Where can i connect the primary winding
Which kind of software are you use for making this video?
It´s called Blender. But you can use also other software like Maya, 3D Max, etc.
Hi,Can more clarification on how angle and speed are determined, and if possible with Arduino? Thank you
Great ! thanks !

umm... I am not really understand ....If the servo motor already have a internal- feedback encoder , the resolver still need ?
A servo system needs a feedback device (sensor). That can be an encoder OR a resolver.
