Being honest, which isn't always "acceptable" in today's world. Mckenna was ousted because of D.E.I. It's just the reality of network TV. The voting doesn't even come in to play...they already picked a winner.

Her back story isn't Disney (Idol) the adoption aspect was perfect, the drug issue and having to come from hell back to life isn't something everybody can relate to unfortunately. I am sober near 40 years and there are some in my own family who still don't get it !!
...Mother's day 2024, wife was away at work for the last 2 days. Our 7 year old daughter missed her mom. Mom brushed her teeth, helped her get ready for bed... and we had idol replays on in the kitchen. Heard your song for the first time, loved it so much I came to YT, found it so I could play it for mom and daughter in bed as mom caressed her hair while she fell asleep. So soothing, so beautiful. Thank you.
I was so surprised when mckenna didn't get into the top 5. She is sooo very beautiful as is her voice.
This was a fantastic performance from McKenna! What a way to go out on a high note. Perfect song choice for her and it sounds like a record. I had chills all over. Much better than her first performance. This was her best performance of the season!

I was wondering about the Judges save!!! They usually have used it by now and have let real talent go!!! I do not think there’s much a reason to use it now unless the best singer gets voted off - Abi or Jack? I believe McKenna deserved the save!!! She knows who she is with her smoldering, smokey voice!!!
Oh no! I really felt she could win this whole thing. Her audition was one of my favorites. So moving. All of her performances were great. I’m sorry to hear she got voted off, but I don’t think this is the last we’ll hear from her.

Lionel has always admired McKenna’s voice & is probably her biggest fan out of all the judges. Luke is second to him. Katie, however, seems to have a face on whenever McKenna sings & is the most critical. (We all know who her favorite is.) She even said one time she was worried about McKenna’s voice. I’m sure those remarks didn’t help in persuading America to vote for her. 😕

Doesn't matter. America loves country music. It is a popular voting block. Triston or Will probably will win. They should do a separate country idol.

The country vote is gravitating towards Emmy, partially because she comes from country royalty, I dont care what anyone says, its true. I think Will will get 3rd because everyone thinks he will do fine regardless, and the country vote will put Emmy over Abi. Just my $.02

I knew from a past Idol season that McKenna wouldnt get past top 5 and it has nothing to with her. My favorite Idol ever was Lacey Kaye Booth, who finished top 5. Her and McKenna both have that Sultry, smokey, rasp and cry that just cuts right through ya and makes u feel every lyric and puts u in awe of their abilities to do so. The American Idol audience and voters in majority always, undoubtedly vote for country and the loud, belting singers. For me, they are a dime a dozen. Talented, yes.. but theres an abundance of both. The Mckenna's of music are a rarity and when u hear someone like that sing, u never forget and want more. Shes amazing and the first contestant since 2019 to make me feel their songs like very few artists can... and im talking well known artists, grammy winners and millionaires that don't do that for me. Its probably gonna be another 5 years or more until someone cuts through to me like that.

I’m sorry, I think Emmy is great, and it’s nothing personal, but there is just no way she is better than McKenna. There is a large gap. It really bothers me when the voters don’t even take the voice into account at all

@@SilverStrumer What risks has she taken? If she wanted to take a risk, she could have kept the dance song tonight as a dance song instead of changing it up to make it easier for her. That was the opposite of risk taking. Honestly, Jack has taken more risks than anyone, and if you don't think Will can sing or will make it in country music....well. Having said that, I prefer Emmy to Tristan and Jack, but not Mckenna, and again, Emmy doesn't need American Idol. Just my opinion.
