Still looks better than ANY car made today.
I used to have one of these, still miss it. RIP! A driver pulled from a red right in front of the car. I cried that day. There is a lot more to this car than was mentioned. But a great video.

I own two of these. Both are the black ones with red piping interiors. The 190e change the design of a whole generation of cars (square to more rounded). 700 of these were made to celebrate the end of the 190e series. One of mine is number 572 and I can't remember the number of the other. My original one has nearly 185 thousand miles on it and my more recent purchase has less than 60,000 miles. The have an amazing turning radius and the breaks were record breaking at the time (#1 breaking distance for their years in service.)

Are these reliable? Found one with the 2.6l engine, 170,000 miles, just not sure how good of cars these are for daily driving.

engine is very reliable, even if you abuse it a little bit. I must warn you to check the camshaft and chain tensioner if it has high mileage, as this engine loves eating it's own camshaft thanks to the rocker arms. also it drinks fuel like a drunktard... aside from that, despite it being K-Jetronic, if you investigate a bit, you can actually tune this engine using it's own analog ECU, there's a channel on youtube purely dedicated to that, it's fascinating what can be done with K-jetronic.
I have one, needs some work but all original interior. Might consider selling.

Weird interior. Pretty sure that is all aftermarket. Unless it's a rare rare option, the red color piping and seat inserts. Of course the carbon fibre is not original and I question anyone who thinks carbon fibre inserts on a early 90's Mercedes is something "cool" lol.
That Interior was AMG Coded, I own one of these and have the codes to prove it. Carbon Fibre is Original as well. Do your research before you say something.
@@theil6 sportline is AMG spec? Pretty sure it was just a Sportline version - nothing AMG about it
These cars came with the same seats as in the AMG models its actually a Recaro sport seat, tis is a real interior by Mercedes except the pin stripping it's all original. I actually own several 190s as well as a sportline.

Should have a cassette player I think.. I have a 1993 190e 2.6, mine has the original cassette player..the little slots above the player are cassette storage. Beautiful condition on this one.
yep i just found one the other day and it had cassettes on them haha
