A bountiful harvest, or spared from another typhoon's wrath-these are just some reasons for thanksgiving. And in the Philippines, where thanksgiving equates to merrymaking, this means one big party! In the Visayan province of Leyte, one party rounds up every town and municipality's history of struggle, perseverance and fortune into an annual tribute of thanks to the Señor Sto. Niño.
