- 5 years ago, Tj Kolesnik picked up his first kendama, setting him on a journey people can only dream of. Revisiting his hometown of Lake Tahoe, Nv., He teamed up with Austin Bachman of Carson Valley Kendama to bring you 'Tj Kolesnik - Kendama Player.'
"It's great to be back in my hometown to play kendama and re live the roots of when I first started playing. It's crazy to see all the places I have journeyed to, the people I've met and all the incredible things I've learned through kendama. I teamed up with Austin Bachman for one day to create this video. Sun up to Sun down, I present to you, 'Tj Kolesnik - Kendama Player.'
This short documentary style edit portrays my story with kendama and why I play. This edit is to show everyone the joy kendama can bring to people and the many benefits of it. I want to inspire every single person I meet to better themselves. Every person, kid, parent and kendama player I have the opportunity to meet, pushes me to work even harder and progress even further. I live to travel to further pursue kendama and see new places. I live to host events to see the smile on people's faces when getting their first spike or landing a new trick the've been working on for months.
Whatever you may choose to do in life, whether it is to pursue your kendama dreams, education, work, travel or help others, never let anyone tell you that you aren't good enough. Continue to push, continue to impress, continue to work as hard as you can until you make it. Hard work pays off.
