You bring up a great point- my interest in these devices and my tenacious appetite to learn about them opened me up to learning so much more
. Like you mentioned- learning to flash, hardware/ software, coding and reverse engineering...I never truly knew how "things" worked prior... and as many dumb frustrations the Flipper had given me... most, in hind site prepared me for future trouble shooting of other gadgets or hardware or software....also how vulnerable we all are due to this fact- a lot of these technologies lack so much in the security side of things and I think that manufacturers are leaning on the fact that consumers just don't know about how things work.... leaning on the naivety of the masses to be a safety net- but now you have these devices opening our eyes to these massive flaws- at times forcing manufacturers' hands to put in critical fixes. These short cuts taken providing those previously lurking in the shadows with easy access into our once naive lives- forcing area(s)/ technologies that surround us in abundance to now bring these shadowy areas to light- i am sure to the disdain/ begrudgingly of those previously enjoying these loopholes and vulnerabilities- shutting them down...no more sneaky-creepy conversations through baby monitors...sorry you creeps. Teaching us how important privacy is and even how deep the governments can reach into our lives.
Another such tool that has tremendously opened me up to 'the world around me'-my opinion...the flipper being an introduction to this world...tell me when ever would we learn about sub ghz frequencies....learn about frequencies in general.....basically learning physics as an off shoot- but again, the flipper being just a expensive introduction- where there was a miss in this video would be a discussion about software defined radio- certain specific devices, but many others that combined with software create an incredibly powerful tool(s). Which now brings us into the reality that around us are so many other worlds of information and technologies that we have may now have curiosities to further go down the many rabbit holes - some yet to understand or may never. SDR is so incredibly powerful.
And, now thinking about it- I believe that you list..should from 3 go to 5 adding SDR and the 5th being something on the lines of a Raspberry PI 5 or a less powerful but still powerful in terms of functionality being micro proscessrors like the PI W 2 - where we can now take the powerful tools available through software that we'd before have to process in a static location on our PCs...but with the Pi W 2 and even better the Pi 5 giving us the abilities to take this power mobile- even further expanding our powers.

And if we have access to these - think what the power that Bs can have their mits into- it is kinda scary actually. Sometimes I come across technologies where they are only offered to LE or Military or Govmnt- we are just dabbling in the toddler tech.0-6....what does the 18+ look like?

I love my pineapple and flipper! I have a bash bunny tho instead of the diabolic drive lol. Unfortunately my pineapples 5ghz attachment was missing the cool sticker, oh well only cosmetic still works the same. Thanks for the new device to check out I'll have to pick up a diabolic drive lol.

There are a lot of alternatives to the devices that are far cheaper and more effective.
There are also alternatives that are more expensive and more powerful.
I'm not saying you're wrong. These are all awesome gadgets, but the cost prohibits a lot of people from getting involved with access control security. These devices don't have much to do with cyber security, or rather, the term is so broad, and these devices are specific to access control.
I don't think the vast majority of people are learning to open a garage over, say, learning XSS exploits in their cyber security learning journey.

Thank you for this constructive feedback. I understand that these are a little pricey, but the goal here is user-friendly. I believe anybody with a very limited cyber security background can use these tools. These are almost plug and play.

If you think about it- the flipper really isn't much more than a way to give us an easier way to control certain devices- yup, it has some basic functionallity...and those alone had been critical in "breaking the ice" to lspark intrest into such techn9logies and further our developments . But then it basically becomes a 'GUI' to some other more powerfulll tech...such as the NRF24 or CC11101 where before you needed some serious knowledge to utilize em.

electrostatic discharge would be my concern with rolling that USB board around bare handed.

if these are dangerous do people just order this stuff without feeling like u are now being watched or on some weird list of people known to have these devices?

I use it for ethical purposes. To learn into study to share. The way I look at it is just because somebody has a 🔫 doesn’t mean that they’re dangerous.
