So glad you posted again today. I was hoping to see another video from you as well. I hope you enjoy those books and the token strategy is probably a good one. I might try that instead of waiting for all my books to be read because it will be a long while the way I'm reading these days. LOL Have a lovely week.
Relight My Fire is the 4th book in The Stranger Times series. It’s an urban fantasy set in Manchester about a newspaper team that write about supernatural things. It’s not as good as The Rivers of London series but it is a fun worthwhile read
Oooo loving your hair, looks fab in this video. When is there going to be a vlog with you and Steph? Miss seeing you two chicks together x Great to see you back in another video though my lovely ☺️
Love the hair style it suits you 100 percent don’t change it at all prayers and blessings for you and your family love your Aussie family friend John ❤❤❤stay safe and healthy ❤❤❤
@Jadeyraereads that sounds random and like a recipe for impulse buying 😳 well done on sticking to your limit though! I tried this method of cutting back my buying and I have no impulse control apparently 😆
12:28 divine rivals is over hyped. The main characters mother gets drunk and commits unalive by walking in front of a train ONLY TO FURTHER THE MAIN CHARACTERS PLOT it serves no other purpose and as soon as it happens the main character completely moves on from it and forgets it happens. Absolutely disgusting representation of mental health.
*spoilers* whereas i recall her being drunk and stumbling in front of a bus and the grief being well written for a book about unrelenting continual trauma, interesting how different people view it
@@devsea SPOILERS!!! the mother is a drunk the entire beginning and then she cleans herself up for one day to give MC “one last happy memory” before she goes and walks in front of a train. The mother dressing up and being sober and a good mom for one last day before committing unalive is a very real and common thing depressed people in real life do before killing themselves. The grief is talked about for maybe one chapter bc she has to go identify the body and then she immediately leaves town and she moves on. Then it’s all about finding you know who and the absolutely lack luster Romance lol
@@reading_faerie people are allowed to grieve differently. running away from it, to begin with, is a very valid way people deal with it, especially when other traumas like war, do not give someone the time to grieve. But I'm done with this convo, cos you don't get to tell someone how to grieve, irl or fiction.
@devsea you are correct about the grief. There is no time limit. My Grandma still is grieving for my Grandfather and it has been since August of 2008. I'm still grieving for my parents. So I agree. No time limit.
@@devsea I literally don’t even care how long she grieved for that’s not the problem here. What I do have a problem with is the author using suicide as a plot device to make the main character leave town and go somewhere else, and then never mention mental health or suicide again.
I deeply related to your "absolutely not" when pointing to Cassandra Clare hahahaha!
Needed to be said 😂
The 100 Years' War was very intense but absolutely worth the read, hope Kath(Cath) enjoys it.
Good to know! Thanks :)

We loooove you!!
Great vlog and the books look very pretty x
I cannot recommend the Dragons of Deepwood Fen enough. I read it right when it came out and loved it so much.
I had no idea there was a special edition! I read it from the library. And it’s only $27? Of course I’m buying it. Thanks for sharing that.

Love book shopping! Well done for keeping up with your token system!
Yes! Thank you!
I love the token system !!

7:12 Jade 🫱🏻🫲🏼 a threatened empire 😂😂
I loooove that shit!
I love watching you buy books😂🥰
I love the covers for the God killer series
Me too, so pretty!
I need to read GodKiller still 😭
I also have a token system for buying books but mine is two books to get a token
My local Watwrstones doesn't pit new release Fantasy with the other new releases they are always with the Fantasy section
Mine tend to not be so strict with the rules of where it goes, I often find them in either place!
