Hey. Spindle RPM = VFD-Freq x 60 sek (for a 2 pole spindle). 400 Hz = 24000 rpm. 358.8 Hz = 21528 rpm . so you're measurement are pretty close.

How heavy is that spindle? Can it be use on an X-carve machine or needs to be a beefier machine? I'm a hobby bee keeper myself buy the way. Thanks for the video!

That one is on a X-Carve clone I built. However, it’s kind of to heavy and it needed Shimmed up to work. It has .049 of shims between the Z axis and spindle. The reason I had to shim it up there is because I could not get the X axis to tilt high enough to compensate for the weight of the spindle.
