Depert = leave , go Commence = start , begin Obtain = get Reside = live Permit = let Inform = tell Inquire = ask Wish to = want to , I'd like Shall = will Appear = seem , look like
Many of these "fancy words", we have in Portuguese with the same meaning: Commence = começar Obtain = obter Reside = residir Permit = permitir Inform = informar Very nice :) thank you Keenyn
Not only an excellent lesson, but your expressions to disapprove the “fancy” words, priceless!!! Ha ha Thanks so much for creating such great material for us, your followers who have the desire to improve every day...
She is a great teacher and kind as well, and if you want to improve your pronunciation. Which I had experienced from her. Go for it… don’t lose the golden opportunity!!!!😍
Hello Lady Keenyn, you really are an amazing teacher ❤!!!! I'm at Mexico right now I from Torreón Mexico I tell my friend from Mexico you are someone very talented!!!❤❤❤❤
Respected Keenyn, your lessons are part of my every-day diet. Thanks for doing such an awesome job. A typo in this video though - San Fransisco ---> San Francisco at 2.29.
Hi Keenyn. Happy Monday and a fantastic start off of this new week. Hope you are doing amazing. Thanks a bunch for this super useful video. As I have mentioned to you in several previous occasions, your guidance is always so relevant and so very valuable to all of us, like the case of this superb video. You know, I have the tendency to use words in my English speech that I know now might sound fancy or considered high class words, but many of those words that are in my English vocabulary repertoire are equivalent to the ones I currently use in my mother tongue (Spanish). But I have recently started to realize and understand that we need to get into the real sense of how natives use the language in their everyday casual conversation and identify the nuances. Thanks so much for showing us the way to dive into this vital matter to start sounding gradually more natural. By the way Keenyn, I'm curious about something, when you suggested to use "ask" instead of "inquire" did you mean "dessert" and not "desert" as it is spelled in your sample sentence? "Did you ask about dessert? Wating eagerly for your kind reply because that makes me always feel on the top of the world.
Your an excellent teacher. The way you speak is clear and in a way which makes anyone from all around the world understand you easily. Subscribed. Also joined the waitlist. So excited to improve my English.
Madam , heartful thanks for all your videos.. could you please upload speech in your own voice with subtitles . actually I was searching for your speech, because your videos are really useful for me if u include anything like speech, story or anything like that we can improve our grammar and communicative skills along with the pronounciation . I Hope you will consider my humble request. And iam so grateful for all your videos once more
Thank you for what you do, gorgeous. I can never have enough of your cute facial/mouth movement. Soooooooooooooo sweet and cute. Keep up the good work and keep them coming.
It is curious that most words who are considered fancy or too formal or even difficult to Americans are easy to understand to non-native speakers who have a romance language as mother tongue.
Hi Keenyn nice to see you This video was very important to me You always help me a lot I love your channel Thank you so much Have a great day my dear teacher 😉🇧🇷 Take care

Many of these "fancy words", we have in Portuguese with the same meaning:
Commence = começar
Obtain = obter
Reside = residir
Permit = permitir
Inform = informar
Very nice :) thank you Keenyn
Same in Italian, with same or similar meaning:
Depart - Dipartire
Commence - Cominciare
Obtain - Ottenere
Reside - Risiedere
Permit - Permettere
Inform. - Informare
Inquire - Inquisire
Appear - Apparire
Because most Euroupe languages are derived from latin language
