I really dont understand Jenn's character. They gave her funny lines and tried to make her one of the more likeable characters, yet they make her such a horrible friend to Kat in the end. They build up this friendship, basically just to show that Jenn cares more about getting a random guys dick than she does about her 'best' friend. I don't get it
It's actually a little more complicated than if she's a good person or good friend or not. Her character was set up to be Kat's best friend, not the protagonist, always in her shadow- which in a way makes her the side character in her own life. She loves Kat, obviously, but she's also involuntarily jealous and feels unappreciated, so when the thing with the doctor happened it was like someone looked at her and saw her- like not as someone's friend, or next best figure skater, but Jenn. So that's why she gets all defensive. Because she despises that it's Kat's sister that's involved. In her head that's like both sisters are better than her and screwing over her and that's unbearable... So she doesn't believe her best friend. It's very sad. But yeah I get why she did what she did.
@@nandithaanil2002 I don’t, the fact that she got defensive about being lied to about the mental disorder doesn’t make any sense, like it’s not always about her, many people have reasons to hide mental disorders and it’s mostly because they don’t want to be judged and that’s what ended up happening with Kat, Jen took that information and called her crazy, that’s the most disgusting way to end a friendship, i honesty don’t feel sorry for Jenn, at all, I feel sorry for kat, because she told her a secret and she used it against her, I was once in kat’s Situation and it ended badly, luckily this is a tv show, but my ending was far worse than this, and honestly the ending got me angry.
@@elfenlied_girl1238 Jenn and Kat's friendship already basically ended before that in ep6- when she find out that Kat slept with Justin the day Justin was going on a "date" with Jenn- Jenn was fine about how she is always in her shadow, because Kate was her best friend, but it didn't seem that Jenn was Kate's best friend. Jenn only ever wanted one thing for herself but again, Kate like she always have too it-
This scene just made me so angry. Like, I understand that Jenn wants to be happy, and she seems to be happy with the doctor. But I'm mad at her for not believing Kat. She was the first person to help Kat find out who hurted Serena, broke her heart and used her for s*x only. But once Kat tells her that Serena told Carol that it was Dr Parker, she refused to believe Serena's words and got mad at Kat. Like, you helped Kat, and you refuse to see the truth ? I clearly didn't understand her reaction in this. Yes, Serena may have acted like a bitch a lot of times, I don't deny it. But she had no reasons to lie about something like this. I love Jenn, how she was at the beginning of the show, happy and supportive of Kat. But after all, the writers decided to make her super angry over the fact that Kat slept with Justin (I understand the feeling of betrayal but Justin isn't exactly innocent in this either and yet, her crush on him blinded her to the fact that Kat wasn't the only one responsible in this) and I hated that they just destroyed her character over something like this
@@elfenlied_girl1238 that wasn't right of her, but I don't agree that she deserves to always be on the losing end of things. I just don't like how they wrote her character or her storyline.
This whole plot twist thing with the dr was insaneeee
Totally did NOT expect it. Gotta give it to them for this one... poor Jenn
@@davemusicinca no not "poor jenn" she didn't want to believe it so it's her fault- oh well-
Fr I did NOT see it coming

I dont like how Kat and Jenn end. The doctor commit sexual abuse to the sister of her best friend.

There friendship was still good after that- but we all should know they were never gonna last(their friendship btw)

pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee make another season
This made me cringe. I feel so bad for Jenn. She never seems to get a break.
I don’t, I feel bad for kat, jenn used her mental illness against her, I think jenn deserved everything honestly

i hate how the writers dont really give a shit about their non-white characters. Jenn's character was so inconsistent.
