Our machine shop can cut metal so precisely using our wire EDM that two parts fit together with virtually no gap between. Learn more about how the process works in this quick video. #machining #manufacturing - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
We just wanted to clarify for those who may be wondering, the cube in the video is not a product we produce for sale or sample. It was only used as a quick demonstration of the wire EDM system capabilities that we use to produce our in-house plastic injection molds.
Soo... Yall are gonna start selling them, right?
I bought an expensive cube of tungsten as a desk toy. This puzzle piece cube is right up my alley.
Lol you gave people that impulse thirst
Please make it a product
Build it and they will come
So how much?? Lol
That airtight pop was 🤌
If you start selling those cubes, it could be a million dollar business… like fidget spinners but instead call it cube sliders
They'd be very expensive.
@@ferrumignis I'd still buy it between $150-500 depending on how close to payday it is
@@lilman227 People and their values :) Wouldn't give more than 20€ for a metal block like that.
@@ArthursHD I can totally respect that. I’m the type of guy that considers gold and diamonds worthless when not used for electrical or mechanical purpose, but something like that puzzle cube is very captivating to me.
And many lawsuits because people are stupid
This must be how Autobots hide their seams in vehicle mode.
I learned this as an apprentice in Germany 20 years ago. Erode machine or Wire Cutting it’s called over there. Extremely precise
Precision German engineering......
I WANT THAT CUBE
Me over here thinking about all the tiny wire splinters you could get stuck in your hand from the chopped up wire
It's pretty impressive how that cube is made. That one that demonstrate how air tight they are is cool that they can manufacture it to such tight tolerances.
Ngl if you guys ever did produce them I'd pay for one reasonably priced but just guessing the cost to run that beast would definitely make em expensive
im not spending no more than $15 shipping included
At my last shop I think it was 200 an hr to run a edm for quoting
@@riflehitta-4157 spoken like someone who only buys stuff from china, instead of buying from their own country
Without an edm machine our cnc shop would be nowhere. Things are a lifesaver for precision form tools
It’s important to understand the time this process takes. Good machines cost well over $250K. So it is rarely used for production.
We had three of them. All of the ID of our pharmaceutical dies were cut this way. They are used everywhere for production.
@@ThePerpetualStudent Please study DFM. Yes WEDM & REDM are used to produce tools for mass production. But the process is too slow to spit out components for consumer use.
It’s still pretty cool
My old tool and mold shop had 5+ of them. There is also electrode EDM. :)
@@saturnmedia1 correct. This is aka as “RAM EDM where the electrode is made from graphite or copper alloy electrode. Common practice for over a century now.
I would 100% buy that cube.
My Dad did this for decades. Master mold maker. Reminds me of bringing my Dad dinner at work on the night shift in the early 90s. Thank you for posting. 😊
Finally an answer on how those damn Egyptians cut everything so precisely.
That popping noise made me 😩
It's amazing how precise that machine is.
Some company trying to explain how they work and create precise cuts and everybody here wants to buy these cubes.
I like both Electrical Discharge Machining AND Electronic Dance Music 😎😂
Should have made some of those for sale. Looks cool
I would buy those for sure
That's a bad ass machine, and the comments everyone is talking about the cube.
Please give your company a shout-out. Are there any specific videos we can watch of them making products? Like a "How it's made"?
Thats so cool!
I NEED ONE!
Sell them, sell them, there is a market, obviously.
Got one of these at work. Super cool stuff
When the guy had a handful of tiny wire pieces without a glove on 😰😰
So many potential wire splinters!!
Okay I really want some me off these little blocks! Very satisfying
Amazing technology !
Mind blowing!
That's super cool!
Where can I get one of these airtight molds
Same
Sussy baka 😱🤬😤🤬🤯
Hey Eli, Thanks for the question. We just wanted to clarify with you and others who may be wondering, the cube in the video is not a product we produce for sale or sample. Understandable, have a great day
[Dark Mode Bruhify] lmfaooo
That’s awesome I love zero tolerance stuff
Oh my I want one of those cubes
Just wondering, how the cuts in the center of the second block are made?
You can see the glint off the cut going in to make the shape.
Same cut for inbound and outbound.
Wire EDM
Remember those monoliths from a few years ago? I think I found the aliens who made it.
Pretty sure this narrator taught us how a plumbus is made
This is awesome
If only my pc case had tolerances that thin
This is ultra cool.
I want one of those cubes
Wired couple of these recently pretty cool stuff
Make these you'll make millions. I want one!
this is really cool you should have more likes !
I wish I could save this in my favourites
How does it put holes in things? Or is it only able to sculpt metals
Good stuff, I love wedm
What would this cost? id really like to have one.
Wow. That's pretty cool.
Damm thats cool👌
Fantastic
Very cool.
MAKE IT A PRODUCT, I WANT PUZZLE PIECE CUBE 😈
edm is so cool
Best moment in this video is pulling out that circle part.. THAT SOUND BRO 😂
I want one now. Take my money 💰 🤑 💸
How much is a puzzle cube?
Meanwhile, TY Chinese short shows someone with a hammer and has multiple hash tag saying "advance technology"
That's awesome
Amazing
How do you cut irregular shapes and curves with the wire edm?
Wire edm has to cut on a strait line between two points. You can do simple curves like a cylinder but complex curves like a sphere arent its thing. If you need a complex shape in automated production i think you need a 4 or 5 axis.
Please start selling the cube puzzle. 🙏
We need this for engine blocks hahahahaha
Lol we have one at work and we’re trying to figure out 😂💀💀
How do you deal with galvanization is that why you use de-ionized water?
That is so cool
Ok but are going to just ignore the fact that this person was holding TINY WIRE FILIMENTS in their BARE HANDS?! I cannot BEGIN to explain how bad an idea that is!
whats this matchine called it sounds ..... interesting
cool vid
I want that puzzle block
Are those cubes for sale?
And yet the Egyptians did the same thing with giant rocks, how?
🤣
The Egyptian engineers were the best in the world for a thousand years plus (there were other competitors). How'd like like to be the guy that created structures that lasted 4000 year?
The Egyptians survived for thousands of years. They are likely more intelligent than we are, but we’ll never know because someone burned down the library of Alexandria.
@@goat9295 no.
Also, they did no such thing.
@@jeepmanxj yes Egyptians were around for a long time... yes Egyptians knew a hell of a lot more about engineering than us currently. We cannot replicate what they did. So that means they knew something we don’t.
Smarter than us? Probably not, human brain has remained largely unchanged up until recently.
Maybe use a little more power next time.
I used to work in a edm company
Idc how is made point to where i can buy one
Want one
As a Field Engineer, the camera in the deionized water, made me cringe.
Want that cube
Well, it doesn't really melt away the matereal. Electric Discharge Machining gets so hot at the electric arc location that it Litterally vapourises the matereal
So basically underwater precision gouging?
I dont want to know how much this Maschiene cost
Would this work on granite?
I dont think so. Has to be an electrically conductive material.
Amazing! Not sure it qualifies as zero tolerance. Probably extremely close and I bet that little cube of metal now cost 5 or 600 bucks, if not more. Cant do this on typical mills or lathes
Hey could I order some of the chopped wires for bluing small parts for heat conduction?
Those chopped wires are dangerous! Like grass clippings, but needles!
I could get you some from work😳
@@fletchro789 believe me I know lol, like fiberglass but scarier. I would be extremely careful and surround the area with plastic as to not spill any. But the benefits of really good heat transfer really outweighs the downsides for my situation
@@georgejackson4790 would you really? I would love to get some if so.
What are the tolerances?
I have zero experience behind machining equipment but I’d say like 3,000 of an inch? Som like that
@@finnleyhaggett3768 Im pretty sure +- .005 is industry standard
_Styropyro files suit_
Like an apple box.
You should sell these!!! Hint Hint
NOICE
And where do I buy one???
Just out of curiosity, what would happen if you just used tap water? Sorry if it’s a stupid question…
Tap water is too conductive, so it would short the circuit and the electrified wire would no longer serve its purpose.
@@Croissinate Thank you for taking the time to respond :) I hope you have a great day!
Now .. see I can do the same thing with my hands .. and some playdough
I WANT IT
CNC can get down to 0.001
That didn't explain it
WANT
That's not zero tolerance there's no such thing. A wire edm like this typically can hold a tolerance of about .0002 inches if used by an operator that knows what they are doing with the programming and setup.
Hello, I am very interested in receiving a sample of that jigsaw cube. I'm obviously willing to pay you for the sample. Thanks in advance
Did you say..
EDM?
B)
In vacuum of space these would weld together into solid blocks. I wonder if it'd work in a vacuum chamber.
Brass splinters are horrible. That last frame makes me crimge.
Where I buy?
