God damn has it been 5 years already since this incredible front to back masterpiece of an album was created? It has had such an amazing and positive impact on my life by arriving in a time of Great Depression uncertainty and turmoil and it helped me survive and rebuild whom I am as a human rejoice in life for it’s equal beauty and anguish respectively in such a beautiful way and I thank JT Jesse and Alex for the most relate able and resonating songs I’ve heard in my life you guys always will be one of my top favorite groups no matter if it’s Garry lee or JT on vocals or Ian but just saying JT has been bringing straight FIRE the past 2 albums
They got some controversy over that album cover because Oceans Ate Alaska released an album in early 2015 with a similar looking cover but that's all settled now haha.
He uses a completely different style than he did with TIJ and still manages to sound unique among the range of very similar sounding vocalists in this genre.
AJ Kay Different style? He's using a completely generic scream. There is nothing "different" about his scream. He sounds like every other underground metal vocalist. Just accept that Garrison was the best.
Hybrid Spektar there are a lot more distinctions that you're not catching onto, Garrison was great at what he did, but at the end of the day JT is now the vocalist and in my opinion, he's killing it. He told me he was called in to do these vocals and had less than a month to prepare, and it still sounds amazing.
I'm not giving up I'M GIVING INNNNN.....SO LET'S BEGIN AGAINNNNNN! Amazing and I don't mean his voice is like amazing it's good but it's how pure that he sang it from the heart that makes it so amazing.
Mannn I remember when this album first came out, it was an amazing year for metal! New bands emerging, underground bands gaining fame, and older bands experimenting with different genres of metal! Actually I remember my friends and I waiting for the exact second the album dropped online so we could download and listen to it. Halfway through the first song, I'm already trying to learn the tapping riff during the intro. Good times man, good times.
Very awesome! I was surprised they didn't have a full band shot. My first impression was they looked disinterested. But the music video was cool. Just wasn't what I expected.
+Brandon Burch Well, there isn't currently a bassist, and Jesse did all the bass on the album. So that would have been a bit weird, but still would have been great.
+Tactical Scout I liked it it too, while everyone calls it boring i'd say it fits well with most of the atmosphere that Drift has, it has a calming relaxing atmosphere almost througout, so having them be alittle bit calm in the video fits well, i really like it.
+Adam Troutman You're actually the real dumbass here to be honest. If for you, screaming can not be calming and relaxing then I believe you must be new to this genre. Listen to "Paper lung" by underoath, "hospital for souls" by bring me the horizon, "chicago" by the Devil Wears Prada, "Obelisk" by Northlane, all these songs have got screams in them but can be listened to for relaxation and calm. It all depends on the way you want to listen to the song. No need to be einstein to understand that.
+Tactical Scout The video is fucking sick. The problem with bands like Erra is that they are so far from your generic craft that people usually miss the point of how dope what they do is. ... These lines only should make people understand the concept of the video. The video was made to be "irreversible", it's "A sequence of events unfolding in reverse" . And do people even read lyrics?! Gosh I can't be the only one that understood how fucking sick the video fit the song!
I love ERRA as you can tell but the ying to Jessie's yang in songwriting (Alan Rigdon) is missing. Songs from Impulse and Augment were magical when both were together. Jessie is a good songwriter he just needs someone to play off of to create the magic again. The new ERRA songs are passable but not the beautifulness I fell in love with and I think thats the reason.
i would love so much to see a music video with you guys as a group showcasing your talent collectively...all i see now is just single shots of each player..lets see the band together, lets get the LIVE feel
The front man should be doing the clean vocals. If it was his cleans I'd buy the album right now. When he was in Texas in July it was one of the best albums of that year. The guitarists cleans are way to high and belongs in our last night.
Saw these guys live in Seattle on Halloween w/ After the Burial, it was just two of the best bands ever w/ multiple band mates cross dressing and the drummer was dressed as Night Man from IASIP no big deal.
am i the only one that thinks that sequence from 2:10-2:18 is the most epic sounding shit ive ever heard? i wish they had more riffs that sounded like that.
+erich casey You're NOT the only one, nigga. The very first time I listened to this song that rift forcefully blew my pants clean of my body. It's also my favorite part of the song. It's funny, really, such a short rift can have that much effect. That's Erra in a nutshell haha
Got a playlist which is like a bible for me, with only good rock/heavy music with over 3000 songs scaling all the way back to 2011, i've had many songs as my current "favorite" and my favorites changed each month. But regardless. Erra is definately my top 3 choice EVER. I cannot get enough of. I fucking love this band.
Need more lyric videos from you guys! Of all the metal bands I know, Erra are the most likely to be appreciated by people who don't like metal (I think). If there were more lyric videos, they wouldn't be able to say that they can't understand the words and they might actually find something more in the music aside from "how can you listen to screaming?".
There screamer is actually very easy to understand, might just be because I am a metal vocalist myself because I hear the same thing, "how can you understand what they are saying" but compared to most vocalist, his lyrics are easy to make out, I actually wish he would go for more ranges instead personally haha - make them even more epic af!
9HP I think you missed the point of what I was saying! Haha, I can understand the vocals because I've been listening to metal for most of my life, and if I can't understand it doesn't matter to me at all lol. I started a course recently and a lot of people there say stuff like "how do you listen to that, can't even understand it" etc. Lyric videos are the best way of showing them what it's all about! So that they can understand. It's about getting people who aren't into it, into it.. Or to at least appreciate it.
Agreed! Have been through the exact same with a lot of people in my life haha - lyric video's and/or a good balance of clean & heavy vocals for people new to the genre definitely tend to help.
+9HP theirs a website you can go to its Erra lyrics click on that and than it will say dark lyrics click on it and Thats where all there lyrics are at.
One of the better songs on the album... The singer reminds me so much of Carl from Misery Signals/Solace. More so in this song than any other. Love it.

Progressive Metalcore + Jellyfishes = success
+Iamnoname98 Fuck yeah jellyfishes
+ Northface
They got some controversy over that album cover because Oceans Ate Alaska released an album in early 2015 with a similar looking cover but that's all settled now haha.
+Kyle Triggs but oceans ate Alaska is ass and this band is actually good
+RoastBeefSandwich false
Jesse's voice never fails to get me emotionally and give me them chills
First song I ever heard by them, 2:45 is amazing pure chills!
Ever heard echoes by the novelists? Heard that and this same day. Years ago. Now two of my favorite bands
Ever heard echoes by the novelists? Heard that and this same day. Years ago. Now two of my favorite bands
from 2:45 - 3:13 gives me goosebumps every time.
I can’t count how many times I’ve listened this masterpiece!
I saw it live late last year. Ridiculous....
Dude my wife is pissed it’s at least 4 fucking times a day for the last 8 months
6 times today lol
0:39 "Be aware of the darkness that lies, beneath the surface of Detroit"
"Reverse perception reversing imperfections"
Love this line. such good, thought provoking lyrics outta these guys
すげーの一言
サウンド自体がこんな綺麗なバンドは初めてだわ。好き
everyone talking about 2:45 but dude... DUDE. 3:43 to 4:06. the "UGH" gives me chills every single time.
The line "I'm not giving up, I'm giving in" 😩👌🏾
Such intricate notes holy crap
Have you ever heard of Duelyst?
the hypnotist is by far the one song on this album with the most intricate guitar work
Erra, Silent Planet, and ABR all in one SHOW OMG
Diarrhea.
Don't forget Make Them Suffer!
I just heard about em from this new tour. i'm liking their stuff!
Yeah they planned two North American tours this year but both of cancelled, so fingers crossed!
Saw them all play together at there Long Island show and omg it was amazing
Jesse knows how to write a chorus
He's written it in a lot of songs now #toosame-y
+Adam Troutman I agree with you bro. Great band but Jesse needs to switch it up some maybe.
+nathan cozad Naaaah the way he sings and style is what his voice is made for
JT is so versatile. he's such a good fit for this band. this record is fantastic :)
He doesn't even hold a candle to Garrison.
versatile? he only has like 1 range, he cant really do lows or highs, just... lower versions of his mid range scream

I'm just realizing how much the guitarist is actually singing and it's super amazing!!
I'm not giving up I'M GIVING INNNNN.....SO LET'S BEGIN AGAINNNNNN! Amazing and I don't mean his voice is like amazing it's good but it's how pure that he sang it from the heart that makes it so amazing.
Erra, you KILLED it with this new album. Officially a hardcore ERRA fanboy.
No likes!!? 6 years later… agreed!!!
Mannn I remember when this album first came out, it was an amazing year for metal! New bands emerging, underground bands gaining fame, and older bands experimenting with different genres of metal! Damn, JT "too good not to be in a band" Cavey, Killing it.
Every single song from these guys is a perfect mix of beauty and brutality. Perfection
Why does the chilled composure make this song even more badass
This is one of the most chill albums I’ve ever heard.
Every song makes me want to cry it’s so good. Thanks gents!
This is the song that made me a full fledged fan. That weird tremolo (? I’m not a guitarist) sounds so cool. Almost like a dubstep wub turned to 11.
A fantastic edit makes this cheap video highly watchable
Very awesome! I was surprised they didn't have a full band shot. My first impression was they looked disinterested. But the music video was cool. Just wasn't what I expected.
+Brandon Burch Well, there isn't currently a bassist, and Jesse did all the bass on the album. So that would have been a bit weird, but still would have been great.
2:11-2:19 best riff of the whole song
That blue Ibanez with the gold pickups/hardware is a beauty. Song is sick also.
Jesse's rockin that Puddle of Mudd look
its like "calm" version of them. so chill to listen their new stuff.
Fuck yea new erra stuff
q nada
+DYÊGO OLIVEIRA que nada o que cara
depinga :v
+Victor Martínez Depinga?
Dasking Games Genial ps...
Pull me closer, when silence consumes you I'll speak words softer ❤️
Am I the only one who thought that the video was sick?
+Tactical Scout I liked it it too, while everyone calls it boring i'd say it fits well with most of the atmosphere that Drift has, it has a calming relaxing atmosphere almost througout, so having them be alittle bit calm in the video fits well, i really like it.
+Madara ok dumbass, screaming is not calming and relaxing. If you guys wanna act like you're into instrumentation, you look dumb.
Nunca decepcionan, sinceramente los amo, & espero que algún día vengan a Argentina
Album just gets better with each listen. Unreal work, guys - looking forward to catching you on tour again soon!
I love ERRA as you can tell but the ying to Jessie's yang in songwriting (Alan Rigdon) is missing. Songs from Impulse and Augment were magical when both were together. Fucking poop man.
TheNamelessYeti huh? lol
You're right, where are the spacial black holes and overwhelming beings in this new lyrics?
Justin Erra POOOPIESSSSS
They aren't the same without Garrison on vocals. The music suffers cause of crappy generic vocals
Fuck I love this band. This album is damn near perfection
The fact that this song wasn't named Erraversable disappoints me.
THIS SONG GETS BETTER FOR EVERY SECOND, THAT IS MATERIALLY IMPOSIBLE
Physically* the language barriers in this comment section is strong.
+Madara I can't speak english, sorry, I'm argentinian, here lenguaje is spanish
JT!!!
Nice, didn't expect you here :) Great music taste, as always, Lauren :D
Ambria Nova
Lauren Babic
i would love so much to see a music video with you guys as a group showcasing your talent collectively...all i see now is just single shots of each player..lets see the band together, lets get the LIVE feel
2:41. Drum fill intro to the best part of the song. No doubt.
Really good song!! Those cleans around 3:00 really remind me of both Anthony Green and Cove Reber (Saosin)
Sounds exactly like cove. So sick.
The kind of song that gives you the chills everytime you listen to it. Killin' the game Erra!
Too bad the video doesn't do the same....
zomboobiez Yeah. The video leaves something to be desired. Still a good one though.
Yes!!! Cavey from Texas in July!!!
"There is no failsafe." Hello, Misery Signals.
Favorite song on the album by far.
This is the best song I have ever heard.
The only thing i want to say is, i love ur works and cash's voice..
drummer's emotions are fascinating
am i the only one that thinks that sequence from 2:10-2:18 is the most epic sounding shit ive ever heard? i wish they had more riffs that sounded like that.
+erich casey You're NOT the only one, nigga. The very first time I listened to this song that rift forcefully blew my pants clean of my body. It's also my favorite part of the song. It's funny, really, such a short rift can have that much effect. That's Erra in a nutshell haha
+erich casey Errra has a lot of amazing parts that are really short in this album, like Skyline's 2:55 for example
It's the one part I wish was longer, guitar gives me chills every time.
Same homie, that part is the sound of Erra.
this song made me a fan. LOOOOOOOOVE the bridge soft part.
I love the guitar opening its dope
One of the coolest metal songs this decade
playing in my hometown on my birthday. fantastic.
I fucking love this band.
tried to save ur playlists to my channel,,...liked your sounds and music verrry heavy : )
love the song. No one in the band seems to like it
You guys are totally awesome, so glad that I met your music and got into them so much.
so this is where jt cavey ended up. weird to think I watched his vocal covers years ago here on TH-cam
yeah his talent didnt go unnoticed. from youtube to texas in july to erra.
i like this ...very good ...scream oooooooorrr goooddddddd
This band reminds me of a heavy metal version of Saosin. It's great! Love this.
never heard this band until this song came out.... i'm glad i found them
Amo este album(Drift)

Nate Pipkins yeah but like.. "Lyric videos"
This is probably their best song.
My girlfriend said almost the same thing.. But saosin and misery signals... So whenever I play erra she says "he it's SAOSIGNALS!!" -love her-
I approve of this song.
+Jesus what the fuck... i laughed so hard at this.
Лучшие, как минимум одни из лучших
2:18 till the end..just..wow
so excited for the future of this band
Great syncing to the songs energy, watching and moshing and blinking in sync really did make me shiver with the vids flow.
It's like heavy metal Linkin Park. Awesome keep it up Sean
I personally think this music video is bad ass.
BRASIL ERRA!! ÓTIMAS MÚSICAS
Love this band. They crush this song live!
Heard these guys on Periphery Radio on Pandora at work. Where the fuck have I been???? These guys are incredible!
just discovered this band, they sound sick as hell.
One of the better songs on the album... The singer reminds me so much of Carl from Misery Signals/Solace. More so in this song than any other. Love it.
OMFG !!!!!!!!!!!!they are back!!!
Erras best album.
This is perfection
this song is awesome!!!! goodjob
Jesus this song is good
Irreversibly badass❗️🖤✔️
Life changing
That intro!! ❤️❤️
Que coisa mais lindaaa 😍😍😍😍
hmm... I think this is a brilliant song. Melodies are there and originality also. Feels like an ERRA from the future... i like it.
My favorite track on the album probably
putt it on spotify plis!!!
this song is so ridiculously good
The drummer doesn't look to amused with life.
got an old Volumes vibe to it kinda with some The Used. I dig it
Jesse is such a beast on this record!
Still amazing
cant go wrong with erra
Just saw these guys live last night on the phantom anthym tour! Portland!
I'm kinda surprised this band is where I'm from . Never would have imagined them coming from Birmingham , Alabama .
This is still one of my fave songs by this band. It's so underrated.
