Do not understimate Frederik's work and dedication, he is such a great drummer too. Obviously, his way of playing is mainly inspired by Thomen's and Thomen's performances are still at the top, but I think Frederick recreates pretty well the traditional sound of Blind Guardian. I'd love to see them both playing live with two drums like Genesis have done in so many of their concerts.
Adrian Morgan i know.. Frederik is a great drummer too... no doubt...it's just that the band changed their sound a lot, and personally I prefer how it was before... cheers🍺🍺🍺🤘🏿

When the Blind Guardian had a really fast and heavy music I miss songs like this one the band never recorded something like this after Imaginations from the Other Side.

Thanks Ricardo! Oops...i really don't remember, if we changed the bpm compared to before. Maybe I just did a little mistake to put the wrong bpm on my clicktrack machine. Or i just had to much adrenaline that day in Tokyo. 😂😂 Or the alcohol level from the night before made me go nuts... 😂 🙈🙈🤘🤘

Hey Thomen, can you comment on your foot technique for this song? Are you using full leg motion or are you doing ankle motion? Since the speed is not too high, I imagine one could use both in this song

A technical question: I always really enjoyed your snare sound, especially on IFTOS where it sounds really natural, and I think a lot of it comes from your, as was said in the BG RockHard Interview series, very physical but still precise drumming style (which I love, and I'm not the only one, whenever I talk about BG with someone this comes up), but from the equipment side, which snares do you own and which one do you play in this video? And is there a chance you go a bit in depth about your equipment and drum tuning? Thanks a lot!
