    Would you like to know how to make spicy chocolate cocktails? In this video I give you 2 EXCELLENT Valentine's day cocktail options! One is for the person that likes to take it slow and steady (meaning a stirred and boozy cocktail!) and the other one is for the one that likes some action and to spice things up (meaning an easier drinking cocktail with a kick...) 😉
    I hope you'll enjoy these two great cocktails, one of which is an original cocktail of mine!
    Chocolate Boulevardier
    2 dashes orange Bitters
    1/4 oz (7.5ml) Creme de Cacao
    1/2 oz (15ml) Campari
    3/4 oz (22.5ml) Sweet Vermouth
    1 1/2 oz (45ml) Bourbon
    Stir and serve over ice. Garnish with a love sprinkled orange wedge.
    Better than Gold
    2-10 drops Chili Tincture ( • Spicy Margarita 4 Ways... )
    1/2 oz (15ml) Creme de Cacao
    1/2 oz (15ml) Grenadine ( • Grenadine (How to make... )
    3/4 oz (22.5ml) Lime Juice
    1 1/2 oz (45ml) Blanco Tequila
    Build over pebble ice and give a quick stir. Garnish like crazy. But with love.

    I agree with the Whiskey Nerd. The Bitter Gold sounds like my drink. Awhh..who am I kidding, both of them are right up my alley! Happy Valentines Day, and have a great week! 😉

    Both of these sound great. I fully agree that knowing the classics makes it so much easier to create a riff or even your own cocktail. How about a channel called MezcalAgaveBitters. Think it’ll catch on? Asking for a friend.

      @@WhiskeySugarBitters I became a home mixologist during covid. Watched a lot of fun drinks and actually made a bunch. I kinda stopped, but was happy to make this love potion challenge. Vino, Dave & Rob are great. Cheers!

    I’ve been so confused by the use of “creme” in non dairy liqueurs like creme de cassis. Love all of your little asides, always so helpful!

    • @WhiskeySugarBitters
      @WhiskeySugarBitters  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm happy to hear it!!
      I think the "creme" comes from the expression "Creme de la creme," which basically means best of the best. So even if a lot of people stray away from sweeter things, in liqueurs, it actually means better! Don't hold me to this, but I'm pretty sure that's where it comes from 🙂

    for the chili tincture, could I just use one of the Ancho Reyes liqueurs?

    • @WhiskeySugarBitters
      @WhiskeySugarBitters  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely! Try 1/4 oz to start, but you might have to lower the grenadine and/or the creme de cacao not to make it too sweet. But did you watch my video on the tincture? It is a SUPER easy hack and something that is great to stock your home bar with. In addition to Ancho Reyes (which are great, don't get me wrong!)
