what i love about this family is they are chosing to go through things just like the locals..and yet despite all the discomfort they dont complain much they always try to look at the brighter side..and that is how we filipinos manage to survive and be happy with life..we perservere and stretch up our patience and now have been used to all the inconvenience in life.. life is not always easy but life is worth living and treasuring.. stay safe you guys..and remain the sweetest family living in your home away from home

Poppy was so quiet and sweet. You taught your dog well. So hard to discipline dogs, it takes patience and I guess you guys are very good at it, consistency and patience which you do not have time when you work 8 to 5 everyday.... enjoy the trip too Poppy, so many to see and sniff in every island.

Puppy know how to conform herself to any situation. I could feel she's very happy with her adopted family. Her new family loves her unconditionally and I'm sure she loves them the same way. About 2 decades ago, I had the same experience of traveling by boat and sleeping on those types of bunkbeds. I was a little older than Story back then when we travelled from Iloilo to Manila. Such fun memories with my Dad.
Our family watch your vlogs always. When i asked my now adult daughters their best experience in life, they will always say it's the out of town travels with us parents when they were kids. Back then we travel by roro,boat,bus. A lot of inconvenience and discomfort and yet intentionally teaching them to be resilient and smart at the same time. Good parenting guys! I know that when you release Story to the world,she will fly high and strong. By the way,my daughters now can afford to travel but no problem with them to do roro again because it is fun!

What an adventure! I had considered driving a rental through the Visayas. Now I have to really think about it and see if the rest of the family will go along with the idea.
Explore Baclayon town in Bohol. Lots of things you can do there. You can even stay in a hotel or hostel. You can take a boat ride to Pamilacan island where you can do whale watching. The oldest stone-built church in the Philippines is there as well, the last time I check,lol.

I miss traveling by boat-the best for us is during daytime when you go big-island hopping and seeing the country from the waters than the sky. A bit disappointed about the fees TBH; the government should be do something about regulating fees while still making sure private ferry operators and the government-operated ports and agencies concerned do earn for upkeep/maintenance and keep passengers safe at all times such that Ro-Ro travel becomes a viable option for many, not only for tourism but personal and other reasons, too. We'll journey with you on this one (particularly because you provide us with the sceneries we'd otherwise not have known at this time) and wish you 4 all the good vibes, prayers of safe travels and great experiences. My experience in Bohol was on motorbike and it was an entirely new experience to me traveling even the backroads and unknown routes of Bohol. People often will wave at you and give you a genuine smile.
This brings me back my childhood. We always take the boat coz its cheaper and yes we always sleep on those bed bunks. It goes with the adventure. Enjoy Bohol. ❤️

Covid comfort zone!! YES!! I normally live in Thaialand for six months of the year and the other six months is spent in a quiet little beach town in NZ.... I didnt travel anywhere while the pandemic was happening. And I didnt just get comfortable I pretty much lost my mojo completely over the past couple of years. Was pretty challenging to get back to Thailand and set up my Thai life again. Especially as I've come to somewhere I've never lived before. But happy to say I've been back 2 months and mojo has fully returned and i'm loving my new location. Travel always gives you chanllenges but working through them is so good for confidence and feeling like youre really alive. Good to see you all embracing the challenges. Its the best education your daughter will ever recieve. She will be learning so many wonderful life lessons along the way!

Covid comfort zone!! YES!! I normally live in Thaialand for six months of the year and the other six months is spent in a quiet little beach town in NZ.... I didnt travel anywhere while the pandemic was happening. And I didnt just get comfortable I pretty much lost my mojo completely over the past couple of years. Was pretty challenging to get back to Thailand and set up my Thai life again. Especially as I've come to somewhere I've never lived before. But happy to say I've been back 2 months and mojo has fully returned and i'm loving my new location. Travel always gives you chanllenges but working through them is so good for confidence and feeling like youre really alive. Good to see you all embracing the challenges. Its the best education your daughter will ever recieve. She will be learning so many wonderful life lessons along the way!

Glad Story had medical care and feels better now. When your child feels bad it breaks your heart and very stressful. Puppy seems to like traveling. Don’t blame you for looking into other ways to travel and skip that boat ride and hassle. Looking forward to seeing Bohol.
