So glad that Miitopia is on this list (and so high up too). One thing that wasn’t mentioned: the soundtrack for the game is DOPE! The composers for it also did music for the Rhythm Heaven series!

The 3D is so great. The era when handled games started to feel like full games like on consoles
FINALLY!!! Rune Factory 4 was my entire childhood, I played it as much as I did ACNL. I tamed every boss, crafted every item, maxed out every friendship, I don't remember if I 100% though.
Can't wait for RF5 for switch.

Miitopia is a super strange game that the devs didn't really need to do too much with, but went in hard for literally no reason.
Fun gameplay, great soundtrack, and so much heart that it bleeds charm. Biggest complaint is that there isn't multiple save files.

My biggest complaints are the single save file (like you said) and that it overstays its welcome a bit. It probably could have ended halfway through and I would have been satisfied. Its still one of my favorite games though.

This was a great video, and I'm really excited to have a couple new games to try out. I am a little sad though that Fantasy Life didn't get at least an honorable mention, it's such a fun game that I rarely hear people talk about.
Some great 3DS games that weren't on the list: Zero Escape Virtue's Last Reward, Kid Icarus Uprising, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice, both Resident Evil games, Wario Ware Gold.
Inazuma Eleven Go! Light/Shadow is a strong contender as well

The 3DS is such an important handheld to me, I've always used it since 2012, and I still use mine to this day. Often I get a sense of nostalgia when people talk about it.

I have 5 times the number of physical 3DS games then physical Wii and Wii U combined.
But this was mainly because I hate motion controls, and was disappointed that I would have to stop playing a game after only 30 minutes because of wrist pain. *(I even put the sensor bar at the bottom of the TV and told the Wii that it was at the top, to be able to sit down and have some motion control at the same time.)
3DS games were just cheaper to buy, and more accessible to me. Not having to worry about taking up time to play when others wanted to use the TV. The 3DS had a lot more interesting games made for the system imo.
I just play on my 2Ds. Still plays just fine. I’m glad I can play 3Ds games and DS games. ^.^
@@jennikifm2 yeah, my mom's 3DS hinge broke, and I was barely able to replace it with a NEW 2DS XL. That was 4 months ago. I almost was able to buy the last of the Wal-Mart 2DS systems, but the system I recived could not get past the setup, because the touch screen was completely unresponsive. When I took it to my local Wal-Mart they couldn't replace it. And I returned the unit like an idiot before contacting Nintendo.
At that time Nintendo could have replaced the unit. But now the system is sold out, and you have to pay scalper prices.

One of my all-time favorite 3DS games is Smash Bros 4. I actually prefer it over the WiiU version, mainly because of the Smash Run mode.
That mode was so addictive.

FE:Awakening is my favorite 3DS game and introduced me to one of my favorite game franchises, so I was so happy to see it on this list!
The inclusion of rune factory 4 on this list makes me very happy. It's up there with kid icarus uprising as one of my favourite 3ds games.

Surprised you didn't mention my favorite game of all time, Kid Icarus Uprising! I can't recommend it enough if you haven't played it.
It's been years since I've watched PBG and I only just realised how much I enjoy these videos
I'm just pointing this out every time I see a Keeps plug: the primary ingredients in Keeps' formulas are Minoxidil and Finasteride, both of which have negative side-effects and neither of which provides permanent results. Once you stop using them, your hair continues to degrade.

Really Mystery Dungeon? I didn't play Gates of Infinity, but was disappointed with Super Mystery Dungeon, not as good as Explorers or Red/Blue rescue team.

No I thought the story sucked, I thought the gameplay was more difficult but I did skip all the game between Sky and Super, probably only difficult because I had to transition from one controls to another. They handled teaming up better, yeah it's rng and can be annoying, but Super felt lazy just with its recruitment. Still no friend zone from red/blue rescue team which was the best part, (all the beautiful scenery, interacting with Pokemon in their environments, amazing music), and the final boss was the worst. It was just a blob, it was really difficult compared to the rest of the game which was too easy, the fact that they made it a blob compared to past games that utilize legendaries, probably trying to get the message across that no Pokemon is evil, but they did that just fine in the last games. Sure Darkrai, Dialga, Rayquaza, Groundon were all villains but they made a good enough story to make it circumstantial, that other events took place that made them your enemy. That final boss is what ruined the game, and why I thought it was garbage, the build up to Yveltal, then suddenly the final boss is a blob, I thought of a dozen scenarios and plots they could've used to make Yveltal the villain without it being "evil".
Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon sucked.

That's your opinion, it was still good enough and loved enough to warrant a sequel on the Switch and give us a remake of the original even if the remake isn't as good as the original, some people can't afford to pay 80$ for a gamecube game.

Welcome to the party. I love Harvest Moon / Story of Seasons to death but Rune Factory (especially 3 and 4) do a lot to enhance the experience. RF4's characters and development are amazing and arguably better than even Trio of Towns, and RF4 is almost 5 years older!
RF4 is soooo much fun and there’s an impressive amount of content, I’m really hyped for RF5 in spring

Smash 3DS is probably my favorite. Despite it having less content than other entries in the series, it plays silky smooth and don't even get me started on how addictive Smash Run is.

I started playing Rune Factory 4 because of pbg! I’m not that far into the story yet, but I’ve already had so much fun :) Can’t wait to see what else the game has in store for me, thanks for the rec peebs!

@@luigiwithashotgun2196 I agree PSMD could've been great but it's just... I dunno how to describe it I just don't like it. The plot is crazy and something contradicts itself, the school was nice but dragged on for way too long, the plot twist feels like it comes out of nowhere, etc.

Man I'm so happy you put Miitopia high on this list. I feel that many people don't talk about that game which is such a shame because in my opinion it's so much better than Tomodachi Life. not that Tomodachi Life is bad, I still love it. I just feel like there's more to do in Miitopia and the fact that you can choose the cast gives the game a lot of replayability.
It’s a great game. It knows how to take itself seriously, while still adding in silliness. A great example of this are the classes, you have typical classes like Thief and Mage, and then you have Flower, Tank, and Pop Star.
Real happy to see Miitopia get some love. A late 3DS game that didn't seem to get much attention, that I still replay here and there.
Good choices; love Rune Factory, Miitopia and Tomodachi Life! The 3DS has some really great games, with so many hidden or underappreciated gems. My list would have to include Kid Icarus Uprising, Rhythm Thief (very underrated), Dragon Quest VIII, Professor Layton Vs Ace Attorney and Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance in no particular order. I just wish a lot of these could be revived for the switch one day (fingers crossed!)

Kid Icarus: Uprising was one of my favorite games. I remember not being able to finish the last level (when you battle Hades in an all out fight) until several years later. I also remember playing in local multiplayer mode, which was really just me fighting AI's and thinking I was really good. It sucks because It would be so fun to actually fight real people in that mode, and I can imagine it was fun to do so when it first came out. Now it's just a barren wasteland.
Thought criminal PBG didn't put Kid Icarus: Uprising on his list!
