Waited the 2 years for the switch release and am glad I did. It was worth it. What a game. Looking forward to finally watching this run!
At first I thought, "1:00:06, that's a bit long for this game even I could do it in less now I've finished it". But 100% run, that's bloody impressive

Its like a Nomai recorded 25 hours of me experiencing all my emotions of exploring this game in a single hour.
Finally I get to watch my favourite game ever made run at Gdq! I couldn't imagine a better way to start a new day
This speedrun convinced me to play the game for the first time, because I caught the ending portion of the run and teared up from seeing just a tiny portion of the ending section.
It became my 2nd favorite game ever made.

This game was so well done. The atmosphere of the music during certain discoveries just makes this game such a joy to play. Shame it can only happen once.

I love this game (definately top 3 of all time) but I really believed speedruns would be super boring and they would just be flying, walking and reading. I didn't realise just how much optimisation and skill could go into a run of Outer Wilds. Glad to have been proved wrong!
Really gotta play this yourself, before watching this. One of the most beautiful games to experience, ever.
Outer Wilds is such a weird game to speedrun since you miss it's amazing story that definitely deserves to be told.
I like to imagine the various characters reacting to the Hatchling's shenanigans with endless snarkiness. Having Slate be the first person I see every time I wake up is very motivating in a spiteful way for me, with his sarcastic ass.
I just can't stop loving this game.
Very likely one of my top 10 favourite games of all time, devs surely put a nearly endless amount of passion on this project.
Epic run to watch live
I downloaded this game a while ago because I saw it was free on the xbox pass, i checked it out with 0 knowledge and never heard of it. This game brough to me a very unique experience I rarely had while playing a good video game. I was immersed, puzzled, amazed, confused, intrigured and scared at the same time. This video game made me feel special. I really invested a lot of time trying to every quest but I couldn't, I had to watch one video to know where to go but I tried to see the very minimum because I wanted to complete it by myself. The ending of this game is one of the best endings I have ever experienced in videogames. I recommended this game to friends and told them "just play it, don't look up anything in youtube google or anything just play and go, that's how you'll get the full experience". I was so happy seeing this AGDQ because i was amazed at the runner and all the tricks and exploits that I would never have guessed. Thank you!!

It's so satisfying finding out everything the first time through without spoilers. Just have patience when playing cause every time you figure out something, it's quite satisfying.

I thought this would be a very slow run until I saw the 100% tag. Now I think that this is not possible. The amount of optimization in these runs is impressive

Outer wilds is one of those games I wish I never played as I can never experience it for the first time again.
This game made me have so many feels that I couldn't stand it. I was so glad to have gone in totally blind.

I love this game so much. I don't understand some lore and I REALLY want some sort of sequel or side story. Maybe from the Nomai's perspective, maybe all three escape pods'?
Spoilers but everything about the nomai is settled I feel. One escape pod lands on brittle Rock, one lands on Ember twin, one doesn't make it out of deep root. The 2 pods build settlements, reunite, colonize the solar system, build the ash twin project, the orbital cannon and the sun station and are killed by the ghost matter from the interloper. The rest of the nomai species are wiped out with the universe, the vessel is still in contact with them as they search the universe for the last habitable systems before complete heat death.

What, cactus flight is not intended? that's how I always did it lol.
The intended solution is to simply walk through it while the sand is sinking. Much easier but also a more restrictive window than cactus flight.

I feel like speedrunning Outer Wild sis a bit counterintuitive but…no objections to watching my favorite game of all time.
This is the one game where blind lets plays are more interesting than speedruns. Oh well, amazing.

Edit: to explain myself, the gameplay of this game is like 100% focused on figuring out the game like it’s one giant puzzle. There won’t be almost anything left for you to enjoy if you have seen the solutions and the payout to the puzzles
More than any game I’ve ever played it will not be even remotely the same if you have you have the story spoiled. Please it is a special game

I really don't get why the runners were so concerned with spoilers. Only a fool would not assume that completing the game start to finish would not entail some level of spoiler, even if only minor.

I just barely missed this on stream, like, the credits started rolling when I entered. much sad.
i think you can shoot the jellyfish with your scout to trigger it's downward movement, bypassing the need to wait. I'm pretty sure this is what was happening bumped em with my scout. could've been coincidence
amazing run, but why is he playing on russian settings though?

The orbital navigation was nice though
