  • Attempt to cutout wheel mount. 4 holes then cutout plate on 11 gauge.
My Z axis does not have the compression springs as described by JDsGarage plans. At the third hole the switch detects surface too early and the default retract (2.6mm) puts torch too high to allow arc start.
    Springs ordered. Thanks for watching.

You will get there. And once you do you won't be able to stop using it. The only thing that holds me back is running out of metal to cut.

The HF start on the torch is causing the CPU to crash - common issue

Correct. Anytime the torch trys to fire but is unable to start, if it is too high, over a hole, it blows up the USB connection.
I have the THI setting pretty close now and trying to cut at 1.7mm torch height. A continous cut works fine, but cutting holes is rolling the dice. Also my switch bolts were too short and loose, very inconsistant touch off before.
