As a new tattoo apprentice this video is just what I needed 🙏Massive thank you from Australia! 🇦🇺
No worries! Glad it could help 👌
Another great video!!! Only was less than a week since the last one.
Keep rockin' it Jason 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks man! 💪
I got the bishop liner last week and it felt like I was struggling all this time with my shorter stroke machines for no reason. I feel like I can relax my hand more, need to stretch less, stretchy areas are easier to tattoo. Combined with the SS grip from Bishop, it's heaven. I'm annoyed with myself I waited so long buying the liner because so many people scared me off saying it hit too hard. Honestly, it's technique. I use the tip and just guide the needle rather than some burrying their needle in and using more pressure combined with their hand control.
There really is no right machine for everyone. But the Liner is for me, perfect.
For strippling I use my DK v7.5 or my Roys and for fineline the packer, still.
BUT THE LINER CHANGED THE GAME (the rotary machine game at least!)
Having had the sol nova unlimited 5mm in the past.. I like the Bishops liner more because I can have more needle hang, the only pro of the sol nova is that it can run better on lower voltage and it has a changeable battery.
But the feel, look, grip, versatility for the Liner wins over the sol nova by night and day for me.
Imagine having to adjust your voltage by using motion control and always having to be careful you're not spitting ink all over the floor.
Or having to guess what voltage you're at.
By the time I got used to feeling the machine and adjusting my way of tattooing I already got bored of it.
The liner I picked up, and instantly locked in for me.
That’s the same thing that put me off the Sol nova, I know people loved it but I rely on knowing exactly what voltage I’m on, I could never do it by sound alone! The liner has changed things for the better for me, I love it, it feels fucking powerful but I can know out some really smooth peppery spice with it 👌
Thx for spread knowledge 🙏
No problem 🙌
I always think of stroke length in form of kinetic energy. If you have a 5mm stroke it takes the cam longer to do one full rotation therefore building up more kinetic energy therefore seeming hard hitting but combining this with high torque motors, brushed or brushless etc enhances the power.
That’s a really good way of putting it, not something I considered before, thanks for that!
Thank you I got used to using a coil machine years ago now I got a pen that’s 4mm and idk. I’m just like thinking I’ll get used to it but also I am so uninformed
No worries man! What sort of stuff would help going from a coil to pen? Maybe I can knock a few videos together
@@jasonjamessmithart and to tell you the truth I think a lot depends on the tattoo cartridges because before we would basically bend them and then make them stick to the bottom of the tube while the carts are premade and some wiggle a lot inside the tube so idk how anyone would get a clean line from that hahah
@@jasonjamessmithart yes like first off I’m confused on the stroke I learned on a coil machine and it’s like 2.5mm stroke then the pen I have I think is 3.5 and I have a new one comming a CNC Q2 and just the quality of the tatto cartridge like how much they vary, sorry not to make it long, but also the quality of the stencil paper and the quality of the inks as of right now I’m using practice skin. It’s OK but what ink do you recommend what stencil paper do you recommend as I’m still hand, drawing then needle cartridges you trust and again sorry it’s so long, I did post a few videos to show my first time using my tattoo kit and I did record it as well as I could so any tips appreciated on the actual tattoo on the fake skin as well
🔥🔥🔥🙏
