I think all the effort to fill the outline of the inlays with the orange is totally worth it !! It looks amazing to me !! Glorious episode !! Thanks for all your hard work , Daniel !!!

You did a beautiful job, the inlay is gorgeous, but struggling with a burnout and depression can be quite a challenge Daniel. But as always I can see how a craftsman you are thanks for sharing

Hey Daniel, I'd say that not just the inlay but the whole fretboard looks amazing, you are a true artist!
I have no personal experience with epoxy rasin but, for what I know, air bubbles can be removed by using a heat gun or a torch, but I believe that the heat gun is the right choice when working over an ebony fretboard. 😅

Man watching this makes me wanna make a Halloween themed guitar. I really dig your binding's color scheme, and your inlay.

Bravo for your patience on experimenting with the orange outline. There's no way I could do that when the final result is inconsistent edges. That would drive me insane. But it's a good proof of concept that could be refined. You'd never learn if you didn't go for it. What could work, and that's if you had a laser cutter. Then you could have a small outline inset on the edges of the aluminum that your pigment could lay in.

That fretboard looks amazing. I wasn't exactly sure what your vision of this was. I think it turned out better than I thought it would.

The inlay is amazing! I really like the outline as it makes the inlay “pop”! It did look like a lot of work. Not sure I would have the patience. 😊

Great video. I've played around with some of these techniques myself, this will definitely help on my next build which is my first for someone other than me.

someone probably already mentioned this but... you can hit the epoxy with a small torch it get rid of the bubbles.

Best to coat the fretboard in something like shellac so the resin doesnt seep into all the pores. Then sand it all off. And could you not just fill the entie cavity with resin, let it cure and inlay the metal into the resin?

Matthew 11:28 NLT - Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Jesus will help you with depression. He helped me❤🕊✝️🙏
