      Hi Mani,
      Surely I will help you with this..
      Budget hotel options (for solo travelers) will be to stay near mahabalipuram bus stand. You can get few hotels in its surrounding. I am mentioning few of them. You can check that:-
      Vinodhara Guest House.
      Rajalakshmi Guest House.
      Hotel Lakshmi Cottages.
      Rainbow Guest House.
      Also I am mentioning some hotel options in mahabalipuram and ECR beach areas, which will be a good option in 2k range :-
      Nirvana Boutique Hotel
      Vilasam Hotel
      Spago Inn Hotel
      Mamalla Inn Hotel
      I don't have any direct contact details for the hotels, but you can check on net and get the contact details or just book online.
      So hope this solves your query.
      Please comment in case of any further details required on this.

    • @TravelYatraVlog
      @TravelYatraVlog  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dibakar,
      It's one of the very unique query I saw in my channel and surely I will clarify this for you.🤗
      Firstly OMR and Mahabalipuram are not same.
      OMR (Old Mahabalipuram Road) and ECR (East Coast Road) are two parallel stretch of roads which connects Chennai and Mahabalipuram. You can use any one of the road to reach from Chennai to Mahabalipuram and vice versa.
      Secondly from Greams road to OMR there are plenty of options. "Tidel Park" is the main landmark from where the OMR road actually starts. So from Greams road you can walk a little bit and come down to any nearest bus stop of mount road, and then ask for any buses which passes via tidel park area or nearby or goes to Trivanmayur, Siruseri etc. People will guide you with the exact bus which goes that way.
      Or you can specifications tell the exact location in OMR where you want to go. Then I can guide you with exact bus number, metro, sharing vehicles or any other budget option.
      Hope the above information will help you with your query.
      Thank you once again Dibakar 😊👍🏼🤗

    Helo sir, excellent video.
    My question is , from central railway station should I go to the park town nd get a ticket to guindy?

    • @TravelYatraVlog
      @TravelYatraVlog  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Fathima,
      Good Question..
      In my video I explained about metro rail travel.
      But if you want to go by local train from Central to Guindy, then you have to go to park station and take a local train towards Tambaram or Chengalpettu. And in 25 minutes you will reach Guindy local train station. Both metro and rly. stations are next to each other in Guindy. So from there also you can catch the Mahabalipuram bus very easily.
      Metro ticket is 30 rupees and local train ticket is 5 rupees. But I didn't mention local train travel in my video because its just 25 rupees difference and the local station is at a little distance from Central. You have to walk for 200 to 300 meters. And the over bridges in Park station as well as Guindy railway station don't have escalators. So if you have luggage, it can be frustrating for you.
      Thank you 🙂

    Great video! I am planning to travel from Guindy to Mahabalipuram around 26th December. While returning to Chennai, by what time should one reach the bus stop? A very weird question as well, while taking the bus in the morning, is there a chance that window seats will be available since the stop is mid route? I feel nauseous during travel and knowing what to expect will help.

    • @TravelYatraVlog
      @TravelYatraVlog  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Shweta,
      For returning you will get bus no. 188 till late night. So no need to worry about availability of bus, even if you start after 8 or 9 pm.
      And for window seat from Chennai, it depends. During early morning or normal time mostly these buses will have hardly 10 to 15 passenger untill it reaches Guindy. So you may get window seat but towards backside of the bus. So if you are nauseous, then i recommend not to go at back. Just request some solo passenger. They will surely adjust for you.
      (From mahab to Chennai return journey, I am 101% sure you will not get window. So you have to adjust for atleast half an hour (till kovalam or so). After that the bus starts getting empty. So then again you may get some backside window seat 😅)
      So best of luck 🤞 and happy journey 👍🏼
      Thank you 🤗
      (After your trip, please share you got window or not 😜)

      @@TravelYatraVlog Thanks again for the help! I'll surely reply on the thread if I do manage to get a window seat xD I'll be trying to avoid AC bus unless the weather is very unpleasant. Another question if you don't mind, what other destination would you suggest for a one day trip from Guindy? My limitation is that I'll have to return within the day itself.

    • @TravelYatraVlog
      @TravelYatraVlog  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have only one day, and you are planning for Mahabalipuram, then you cannot go anywhere after that. Because morning you have to start, and by the time you reach Chennai it will be almost late evening or night. And you will be little tired too.. so don't plan anything else for one day.
      (At night after dinner if you want just visit Marina beach, or any other beach near to your hotel and relax a bit. That's it you can do in a day)
      Or if you have another day additional or just half day on next or previous day, then I can suggest few things in and around Chennai.

      Hi Charan,
      1st day Chennai is fine.
      You can explore some of the important places of Chennai in one day.
      But second day plan is next to impossible.
      Within same day you cannot cover mahabalipuram, kanchipuram all well as golden temple.
      They are not nearby. Vellore is towards Bangalore and Mahabalipuram is towards Pondicherry (south).
      So on second day you can visit only one destination.
      If you have some more days plan then you can cover all.
      Hope this solves your query and doubt.
      Thank you once again Charan.

    • @TravelYatraVlog
      @TravelYatraVlog  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Samvit,
      Yes you can carry a suitcase and rucksack in these buses.
      And as per rule there is a luggage charge for big boxes and all.
      But for suitcases or personal items they generally don't charge. They will catch you only when they see some commercial luggage like something in a cartoon box or if any heavy equipment making sound in your suitcase box.😉
      So if they ask what's in the box, then just tell them that it's your personal item like clothes and other stuff, then they will not change.
      Thank you 😊👍

    To go to Guindy take cheap suburban rail which is 5 rupees. Cross the subway and board tirisulam rly station and catch train towards beach
    From central go to park using subway catch tambaram bound train fare is just 5 rupees.

    • @TravelYatraVlog
      @TravelYatraVlog  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes local train is there, but mentioned metro because it's just attached to the airport. not even require to walk, and then cross subway (doesn't have any escalator) and then wait for local. I feel it will be little difficult for people who are new to this place and also if old age people are there.
      And metro cost is 30 rupees. And it's just attached to the airport. And metro trains are there frequently in every 5 to 8 minutes, and these metros are exactly ON TIME with proper arrival time display. So for such a comfortable and AC ride I feel it's worth to take a metro rather than a local train at an extra cost of 25 rupees.

      Many hotels are there, but nothing will be budgeted. Basic hotels in these areas will start from atleast 2k or more.. some of them are like Hotel beebiz Guindy or Hotel NK courtyard etc...
      So best option is to take a direct metro and travel for just 25 min and reach Chennai Central and take hotel near Chennai Central, where you will get good hotels starting from 750 to 800 rupees range. And in Centra area if you are ready to pay 2k for your stay, then you will get very good hotel.
      Thank you 😊👍🏼

      Sure Akash,
      I have a plan to make a series of three to four videos on Chennai City tour and Sightseeing Places. Chennai is so big that one video will not be enough to complete the entire Chennai. So there are few more videos in line-up. After that I will surely make Chennai series videos..
      But in between if you are planning for Chennai trip, then please comment me, I can seperately guide you and suggest places in comment itself so that it will help you in your upcoming trip.
      Thank you Akash.
