Hi Mr. Heimler, I sincerely want to thank you for creating the APUSH review packet, it has been very helpful with understanding the major concepts. The review videos have *chefs kiss* quality content and learning U.S. history has been a delight. However, it might be too much to ask, but I was wondering if there were to be any plans for adding subtitles to the video? I think that they would be very helpful in regards to retaining more of the information. Thank you for all your hard work and I hope that you are well during these difficult times.
Hello Heimler. I posted a full translation of laissez faire because a bunch of people just don't speak that much French. It's commented in the 6.12 video
Mr. Heimler, what do you mean when you said "many participated in the war effort as a way to put race issues on the 'national agenda'" what does it mean by national agenda? Minute 2:34
Because many regiments were still segregated, the military was a relevant avenue to get people talking about desegregation and equal rights. Black Americans serving in the military also bolstered pro-civil rights arguments- if these people were willing to die for their country, why was their country treating them like second class citizens? By 1948, President Truman would desegregate the military, so you could argue the soldier's strategy worked. Hope this helps!
Hey Mr. Heimler! Will you be making unit review videos from now on? Also, I can't seem to find the Unit 7 topic 1 video on your channel. Is it just me? Thank you for all you do!!
