- Added a special cutscene after you’ve helped your new neighbors grow their family to the max.
- Raccoon shop now includes a trade for mystery boxes and golden mystery boxes.
and you can trade golden mystery boxes to get magic rock candy

Taking any non-marriage-candidate villager from no friendship to a full 10 hearts can be accomplished with one visit on the villager's birthday using an iridium quality loved gift + two stardrop teas. Yeah, the tea is not something one can accrue quickly or in bulk, but otoh board requests are not usually very difficult or tedious so a modest supply should be relatively attainable, and when it is used in this way it feels insanely powerful (eg. just met Leo yesterday ..ok now, today --we've got him moved in comfortably next to Linus).
Used the stardrop tea to quickly max out Kent, and Leo when they showed up and the last bit of Pierre(I find him the hardest to gift)

TIP:after request #6, you can purchase Fairy Dust in exchange for 1 Mystic Syrup!
A lot better than making it with diamonds and fairy roses! However, not sure how worth it it would be, since you still need the profit from using the fairy dust to be over 1,250g. (Or I suppose 1,000g if you didn't go Tapper.)
But if you go for foraging Mastery first and you have a shit ton of heavy tappers then I guess it’d be easy to get the stuff on mass but that definitely makes sense✅
Salmence (@salmence100) once mentioned that the only time it would really be worth it (where the sale price of the item offset the cost of making fairy dust) is on a furnace smelting a Radioactive Bar! Just as a side note
@@schmingbeefin4473 You don't really use the fairy dust for profit. You use it for convenience. And since the mystic syrup requires no work once its set up, its very handy to have.
I am glad I watched this video. I gave up on the requests from the raccoon when they wanted something I haven’t yet found, two game years ago. Guess I will go back and visit them and try again. I want those gifts! Thank you! ❤
They asked me for purple mushrooms... 😭 that quest took so long!
im not sure which number request it is but i turned in a bunch more after the seemingly last request and after a while i unlocked a secret cutscene and a trade of 20 gold mystery boxes for one magic rock candy and also a trade of 3 regular mystery boxes for 1 gold mystery box, just so that people know there is a reason to keep feeding the racoons
Random bug/glitch I found for the smoked fish requirements it doesn't matter what fish you submit as long as it is smoked. I submitted a smoke crayfish instead of a smoked large mouth bass
Idk if it works with other artisan items

I wish it didn't take hardwood to fix the tree. I already need 100 to upgrade my house, 200 for the boat, and another 300 to finish off my mushroom log area :P
Work at it at your own pace. I went and gathered hardwood nearly every day since the middle of summer with the forester profession so I had tons of hardwood by the time I could fix the stump.
Level 40 to 50 in the dangerous mines have a ton of hardwood
@@scaryjam8 You are likely not at the point when you have access to the dangerous mines when you start the raccoon side quest
Of course it's worth it! You get to help the cute lil guy! Thats enough of a reward :)

Absolutely worth it, although, I was stressed all the time thinking about the poor racoons being hungry or cold haha
Actually, there is another way to get the Fairy Dust. You can trade with the book seller a Book of Stars for a Fairy Dust.
The biggest point you missed, which got added in an update later, is that after the 6th quest you can purchase UNLIMITED magic rock candy for golden mystery boxes! This makes mining so much easier and viable. This is the real perk that you're after when completing the raccoon quests.

given my farm (mushroom/tree farm) and preferred way of playing, i really like the new ways to get mixed seed. honestly i wish there were more avenues to get clay, especially given that its farmable algorithm has been removed.
I wanted to add that if you're on the final week of the season, the items requested will match the next season. It's happened twice to me already
I was really hoping there was going to be 100 baby’s and they would fill all of the gated areas near all the big trees.
And if concernedape did that there would also be a hide and seek mini game where you need to find the raccoon baby’s around the valley for a small reward from the mama raccoon
There is a cut scene too.
After all raccon family is complete.
But i keep helping them.

It can be any dried fruit or any jelly, no matter what the tag says. I tested it :)
Since they can give you an item you havent shipped yet, I wonder if that means you can technically farm radioactive bars from them
Maybe, technically? But I think they give you one quest (and thus one reward) each week. Then it's not guaranteed they give the unshipped item every time (might be one of the other rewards instead). So even if you ship everything EXCEPT the bar to max the chances, still would be very slow farming; maybe a handful of bars max in a year (if that). 🤷♀️
