I have a Solis without lithium. Travel shoulder, season on the West Coast never lost power. Only need a campground when I need to do laundry. Generally only use my generator 1x a month. Decided to save $20,000 and I’m not regretting my decision but I do live on the West Coast and I can travel during the off-season since I’m mostly hitting the national parks and they don’t have any hook ups. Anyway lithium is not necessary for everyone even though Scott thinks you run a generator in it 24 seven. also, I run my van every day since I’m out sightseeing and not sitting still except to sleep and eat so I guess that’s why I’ve never run out of power even in the cold season. I’ve been really glad to have a fantastic heater and my pipes don’t freeze down to 25 degrees
This is a nice Solstice. I like bed going up and down. The refrigerator is a nice size too! This not bad at all. Like the table with the bed. It’s all very nice. Thank you Scott!
The Lagun mount on the passenger seat is something I'm going to see if I can do on my Embassy. That's a great spot for one. That shower looks very useable!
I own a 2022 Jayco Swift 20A. I love the "big' refrigerator, "good" size bathroom like mine but I like my two tone cabinets better 👍 I think Jayco does a good job & most of all, it's comfortable for the person(s) in it ♥️
That table/workspace up front is clever. Don’t like the lack of a garage under the rear seat though…. I was just realizing- it was 2 years ago your tour of the Beyond at Tampa changed my life😃
I know many are Lithium fans for the B camper. There is something to say for the generator B campers. I was warned by a Ford Repair man to be leery of the second alternator. On most of the Ford transit campers they are not warranted by the Ford since they are a aftermarket products installed by the Camper Manufacturer. So If the second alternator fails because of a belt problem or mechanical problem(this happen more often than you think) the ability to drive the van is greatly reduce or not drivable at all. OK. Let's look at this scenario. The van is taken or hauled to a Ford Dealer. Many if not all Ford repair Dealers will not work on a aftermarket product (second alternator) not installed by Ford. Thus the Need to find a repair man that will work on the aftermarket alternator or go back to the Camper Dealer repair department. OK let's look at the Generator Camper Van. If the Generator fails no problem for the Ford Transit van to operate. Second thing against the lIthium batteries is the temperature they must be maintained at vs AGM batteries. For storage locations in the northern climates a heater type of device needs to be installed in the campers with lithium batteries for storage. The Lithium batteries can not take certain low temperatures. Good news in the future of Camper Vans I understand that Ford is coming out with their own Second alternator installation. If that is the case and B Van manufactures use the Ford second alternator option there will not be a problem with service or warranty at the Ford Dealership. Still might have problem with drivability of Ford Transit - I don't know. Just something to think about. Let me know what you think.... Just saying
Thx for your comment Cary. My serpentine belt busted when underway. Ram dealer in Houston repaired including second belt for Volta second alternator. My van is not in warranty any longer
Scott, in your travels, have you ever seen any sort of aftermarket flush mount locking flare type cover for water connections, etc. (re: 5.55 in video)?
In the ford like the sprinter you have to have the forward facing couch as the body isn’t wide enough like the Promaster. Which means you sit in the back staring at your home not out at the world. The rest of the interior is getting more like it. Nice video with good explanations.
Different Scott! I rented a Solis for 3 weeks, at 6'4" I could barely sleep east to west, it was comfortable. Transit (just toured some at RV show) world of difference to me walking in with the ceiling height; but, yes, the narrow comes into play and it's north to south sleeping. Have not been in this Jayco, but bet with those "taller" cabinets it will feel tall/narrow, although the Real Scott could comment I am sure.
Nice review Scott...Great floor plan and cabinets, leather seating but, like the American Coach no storage in the rear under the bed for chairs, tables, rug, sporting items, etc. Disappointing...See you soon at the FL van meet up 😎

Scott, previously, I believe, you said Ram is five inches wider than Transit. Did you notice the difference?
