My grandson was freaking out... He’s gonna get it stuck Papa I keep telling him to watch and find out. He was covering his eyes saying. No he’s stuck I know it. When he opened his eyes he came out with. I knew he could do it Mr. Chris is the best at that. Thank you, you made my 5yr old grandsons day.

Considering how heavy the 250 is and how it was faring in material the consistency of old-style dairy manure, I'd say the mats did a good job. It'll be interesting to see what the creek bed looks like without several feet of soil eroded into it.

It’s by far my most favourite machine and yours I think. Doing a good job as usual. God bless you Chris, keep safe in that country of yours. Cheers from the land down under.

That was some top notch sphincter retention exercise right there.
I was concerned about the weight issues though no doubt the extra power that machine has enabled you to exit there without roadside assistance.
Got to take my hat off Chris takes some balls to take a machine that heavy out there on such small mats.

The technical difference between a lake and a pond is simply the depth. You can have a body of water that is 2 square miles and it could be only a pond if it is shallow. If the water is deep enough to not let light hit the bottom then it is a lake.

18:10 I think your best game plan for that machine would have been dig out a hole down to the solid bottom, THEN crawl out into the pond, dredging it out as you go, staying in the ever widening hole you're digging out of the mud...
That way, you don't have to screw around with inadequate mats or risk burying the machine and the community gets a deeper pond that's less prone to weeds or clogs caused by silt buildup...

I guess I'm still a kid, because I enjoyed this all the way through. I did get a chuckle about putting this much weight out on the small mats, especially once they began disappearing. These are about the size I haul around the country on the heavy-haul truck I drive (not that I'll make any great claims to being able to finesse them around outside of loading and unloading them off the trailer... I would probably look like I had Tourette's out in the mud like this lol). Thanks for sharing these digs. :)

Is it the case that the mats provide a ‘floor’ at the bottom of the stream, rather than keeping the machine afloat on top of the mud?

Genuine question, have u priced a longer dipper/stick for that machine? Given how much dredging/swimming in the mud you do, having a long reach aint viable granted, but a second long stick in the yard for the long jobs would justify the cost/hours to change it over compared to so much mat wrangling. And if Chris’ local volvo rep is reading, 5% commisions fine thanks.😎🇬🇧
