Josie, you were talking about the apples - I have an apple tree. Supposedly, you're meant to pick all but 1 or 2 per branch, to encourage the tree to grow that those few really big, and then that trains them to make big, sweet ones (otherwise they will grow just many small sour ones).

Josie, me too, I've never seen a baby apple or a baby pear. Here in Spain, I never knew almond blossom was so beautiful on the trees and now we have baby almonds growing, and pomegranates just flowering, and orange blossom everywhere which smells divine. I love noticing all these things 🌸🌰🍐🍎 x 😊

Ooo! Agreed! I'm particularly into fresh and powdery florals with lots of depth to their scent profile. I know that's really specific. But for instance, I have had Chloe as my main fragrance for a while and I'm loving Voce Viva by Valentino because it has a bit of spice in its depth (unfortunately the spice wears off quite quickly). And I want something that feels very high end. I'm ready to spend a bit more for something that smells more expensive. Would love any ideas you have, Josie, since I do find our tastes so aligned on fashion and home goods.

Oh my gosh I can’t wait till all that fruit blooms! You HAVE to make an apple and pear crumble with an oat crumble topping! I love a good apple pie but one year I decided to make an apple pie with pears, and instead of traditional crust, I made an oat crumble with flour, butter and some brown sugar and spread it on top. I took it out of the oven and my family immediately grabbed spoons and dove straight in 😂
Josie, the fabric is called “Dotted Swiss” here in the US and it’s so beautiful in the summer. For us Americans “Rocket” is Arugula here and “Mange Tout” are Snow Peas. I had to look them up because I was clueless! 🤷🏼♀️

Josie, I love these! I'm curious if you'd consider doing a fashion bit about outdoorsy stuff. I know you do garden in your dresses (which I am not brave enough to do). But I'm curious (and perhaps you do not relate to this at all) how one stays covered and cute while in the woodsy wet parts of your world. Bugs and sun and muddy stuff abounds in the woods surrounding our cottage. And I have yet to figure out cute ways to dress practically for that, hiking, camping, and more rough and tumble activities. I do not like the REI or Merrel style (brights, not matching, and very much frumpy). It's a real challenge for me, so I'd love anything you might have figured out to help me with that. ❤️ P.S. I finally found Charlie's blog and youtube, after much hunting, and I love it! Different, but it's giving me so many ideas on what to buy for my fiance (since he's not a real fashionable guy and could use a bit of an elevated update to his everyday look)

My ‘dupe’ very low heel Rockstuds arrived today - I LOVE THEM - they look wonderful - I got them in the burnt orange and the white - wish they did a nude/pink colour but they don’t - so happy with them. Keep the flats - they are your favs - you will really get your “price per wear” out of them

Growing up My parents garden had 2 cherry trees, 2 lilac trees, 4 pear trees and 3 apple trees - one of the trees was 60 years old - and huge - and dad built me a tree house in it - so was used to baby fruits - the cherry trees were a magnet for the birds - they love them. My current garden is much much smaller - we have a few bushes and a lilac tree - but it’s still very pretty.

I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would buy gardening tools with the Dior brand name printed on them for an extortionate amount of money even if one has the luxury of being able to afford them.It is the complete antithesis of a simple,natural pastime which requires no grandeur or opulence.
I adored dresses: #1 #3 - especially with the tailoring #6 - I liked the bow in front instead of the tortoise belt circle The price of the first skirt… 😱. That would be a no for me as I’m sure I could get something nearly identical custom made for a fraction of the price. Love the pattern of the gardening apron.
Aw man I would have loved to see the maypole! I wanted to craft some kind of maypole for May Day and have also been looking for trellis ideas. I’m so glad you mentioned this!
You think it’s ridiculous to buy a bag as expensive as Dior’s but now you buy an Apron from the same brand lols so which is more ridiculous? Or is it because it’s the only thing you can afford at the moment so you buy it regardless?
The first white dress is really stunning and I do think you probably have enough of them but this one is quite special. The second white dress that needs all the alterations is not worth it I think it's not that pretty from the front especially since there are so many nicer ones already in your closet. The milk maid dress is a keeper of course!
If you are not against using a rubber sealant spray, your watering can can be repaired. I believe this material is often used in evestrough maintenance. Josie, your vlog is lovely to watch and a highlight in my day.
For your trees in the garden, it might be nice to get little bronze plaques with the name of your trees and their variety. Beautiful, informative and classic.
The second white dress is so worth altering. The little blue flowered dress is a lovely shape - but have seen better florals on you. Too many flaws in the last dress - love the pattern though

My ‘dupe’ very low heel Rockstuds arrived today - I LOVE THEM - they look wonderful - I got them in the burnt orange and the white - wish they did a nude/pink colour but they don’t - so happy with them. Keep the flats - they are your favs - you will really get your “price per wear” out of them

@@glgardener4972 I live in the UK and I found them in a Gratton catalogue by a company called ‘Star’ just put that into their search 🔍 and the sandals come up but the white ones are very low in most sizes - just one word of warning I had to ‘size down’ as quite a few others have too

Growing up My parents garden had 2 cherry trees, 2 lilac trees, 4 pear trees and 3 apple trees - one of the trees was 60 years old - and huge - and dad built me a tree house in it - so was used to baby fruits - the cherry trees were a magnet for the birds - they love them. My current garden is much much smaller - we have a few bushes and a lilac tree - but it’s still very pretty.

I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would buy gardening tools with the Dior brand name printed on them for an extortionate amount of money even if one has the luxury of being able to afford them.It is the complete antithesis of a simple,natural pastime which requires no grandeur or opulence.

The first white dress is really stunning and I do think you probably have enough of them but this one is quite special. The second white dress that needs all the alterations is not worth it I think it's not that pretty from the front especially since there are so many nicer ones already in your closet. The milk maid dress is a keeper of course!
If you are not against using a rubber sealant spray, your watering can can be repaired. I believe this material is often used in evestrough maintenance.

For your trees in the garden, it might be nice to get little bronze plaques with the name of your trees and their variety. Beautiful, informative and classic.
The second white dress is so worth altering. The little blue flowered dress is a lovely shape - but have seen better florals on you. Too many flaws in the last dress - love the pattern though
