Yup, what happens to the hides of animals after they're dead is the concern. Not the underprivileged human workers making these shoes for practically nothing while we pay alot of money for them. Ahh priorities.
so just because i care about animals means i don't care about humans? and the fact that u apparently don't buy from sweatshops etc. (I'm assuming) means that its ok for you to wear the skin/fur of an animal that has been unnecessarily tortured and killed? (not that it is ever necessary)
The animals aren't "tortured." They are humanely killed. You know what ""torture" is? How animals die in the wild... starving to death, freezing to death, dehydration, sickness, or spending their last seconds panicking/running for their lives before being ripped apart by sharp claws and teeth. Mmm. fun.
First of all, if there is there is a "humane" way to kill an animal, companies to not do it. They do it the cheapest and easiest way for themselves (there is so much evidence about it on Peta, you can also watch documentaries on how "humanely" animals are killed). Some animals are even skinned when they are still alive (if u don't believe me please do some research for yourself) Secondly, when animals die in the wild generally it is to feed other animals also in need of food, and even when they are not used to feed another animal, they have lived a free life, unlike the animals bred to live their whole lives in cages.

Yeah I can have maybe one or two sneakers but most likely they will start to get worn out quickly.
