I bought one recently and I have just tried the sequencer. It's so intuitive and inspiring to use. I love this instrument for all its immediacy, huge sound and also esthetic. I used to have a Moog Sub 37 and don't regret to have replaced it by this one.
The new Matrix Arp mode is an unexpected new fun/creative feature! Another brilliant use of the existing matrix UI :) Great to see this built-in on an hardware analog synth.
For pure sound design, just sitting in front of the thing, this looks incredible. I'll be getting one. Please make it well built Arturia and it will have to go down as an instant classic. Wowza.
Yes..this is great ....except that you did not explain or demonstrate how to SAVE the sequence ...or explain whether the sequence automatically goes to the bassline if you use duo-split mode . ......please explain .
Really cool although I think the knobs should be better quality for the price. They seem kind of plastic and cheap. I'm interested in the level of software integration provided if you could do a video on that. Is it easy and seamless to do things like record and edit automation, save and recall presets, copy sequences to your DAW etc.

I wonder if it's possible to do "Elektron style" sequencing with this? So I could simultaneously press a step button on the matrix and a key on the keyboard (and the note corresponding to the key pressed would be stored in that step)?
Your Beatstep I bought will not do a sustain by pressing buttons. And you do not answer my emails for help with your products. So if I buy this I am scared because I am pretty sure it won't function well and if so, I know you will give me no support.

it's tied to the velocity sliders on the Amp and Filter envelopes - meaning it will play the accented step louder or open the filter more. additionally you can choose what velocity modulates via the Mod Matrix and maybe accent can do other things
I think you can have the Seq modulate several different things via the Mod Matrix, but control is on a per step basis. so if you turn up the amount on the Seq, you're turning up all its mod destinations in the Mod Matrix, if that makes sense

I love the matrix. Looks like it's fairly intuitive and certainly exceptionally powerful.
All the synth manufacturers are really stepping it up, but Arturia and Behringer are CRUSHING IT!!👍🏽

you can save sequences as part of the preset, or you can save it separately as a pattern to apply to other presets/patches
how come the right hand side of duo split completely changed its sound and can't be modulated?
I cannot select both arpeggiator + seq at the same time to edit the arpeggiator. nothing happens ???
All ok now. there is a software update - now its all in working order :-)

One demo on youtube just about made me crazy, the guy was making some very excellent sounds suitable for outer space movies! =)

i think this is a feature for when you're in step recording mode

Matrix arpeggiator is not working on my brute. I cannot select both arpeggiator + seq at the same time.

I read that it was removed from latest firmware, but they will bring it back in future versions.
