People dost know that he was director of so called football board of united. Arnold invited him. So he has been part of united many bad years. We all know hes involvent in disastrous ronaldo transfer and he was the one who machined glazer takeout. Ye, he was great manager but its not all glory
If they want to cut costs, which is obviously needed, they should prioritize getting rid of under-performing high wage players. Rashford, Casemiro and Antony sticks out. And they should not have given Bruno that big wage bump. I know you love Bruno. I don't. Ok. But his new wage has become yet another problem. We are not a top 4 team anymore. And we can't keep given players wages that reflect a title winning side. Now I know it's not easy selling these players. Because of the wage, and the lack of perfomances from them. But they really need to stop giving out these contracts. I was really disappointed when Bruno got his. It didn't give the right signals. Yes, he is the captain. But does he really suit how we are trying to play. IMO, no. And to give him that high wage just gave us another player we can't offload if we want to. That cycle needs to stop. These wages will hold us "under water" for a long time, until it ends.
Yeah great mate, but where are you going to save money right now, considering the transfer window is closed and big transfers are mostly likely to happen in the summer.
paying 2m a year to a former manager is ridiculous and shows the club haven't been getting run by football people!! were a football club, not a retirement fund!! lets not forget the glazers first wiggled into united because of one of fergies dealings going pear shaped!! about time we moved on from the past so well done to ineos
90% of trophy cabinet in Man Utd is because of Ferguson. He is a legend of the club. You wouldn't see this at Liverpool and with Kenny. INEOS are a joke. They show that club is most about business than results. They keep ten Hag and sack Ferguson. Yet they still will pay 150k to Yoro, 300k to Bruno and 350k to Rashford.
The Club has been in debt for 20 years, but as soon as someone comes in and begins to sort it out by cutting unnecessary costs everyone loses their minds.
There were loads of back room staff, many on minimum wage, whom Ineos made redundant. This is going to even things a little. I’m 100% behind Ineos, well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It's a bold move from ineos but probably the correct one! Cold? Nah! The cleaners or shop staff on low hours minimum wage contract loosing there jobs is cold. A multi millionair 82 year old loosing his 2 million pound contract isn't cols.

While Fergie is and always will be a club legend, I can't help but feel that clinging to the Fergie era is what holds the club back. We aren't the same club we were in the 90s or 00s, and its time to accept that and start fresh. Stop bringing back old players as managers or coaches, no other clubs do that. Stop comparing to the CO92 and Ronanldo era. If we played those teams we would be destroyed.
@lloyd4301 I don't care about Fergie eras or the past. I'm sick of hearing about it. Fergie hasn't been manager since 2013, it's time to move on! You can't cling on to the past and expect it to make everything right in the present. What he did was great but it makes no difference now.
"Stop bringing back old players as managers or coaches, no other clubs do that." They literally do. Guardiola in Barcelona, Arteta in Arsenal, Tim Sherwood in Tottenham, Harry Redknapp in both Bournemouth and West Ham, Zidane in Real Madrid, Ancelotti in both Parma and AC Milan, Pirlo in Juventus, Conte in Juventus, Bayern Munchen has several. They all do this.
@88balloonsonthewall70 and how many of those have been successful? Guardiola and Zidane arguably had good teams before they took over, andelotti has had success but can't remember much with the teams you mentioned, and the rest speak for themselves as "successful". It doesn't work if only 1% is successful.
I'm certainly backing this decision. Football wise and money wise. He is absolutely legend and will live forever at the club with his memories. But it's time to cut ties executive and financial.
If United can’t sort out their left back problem (for over a year) why on Earth do people expect Rashford to do well. Look at his performances season by season when he had a fit and firing Luke Shaw, and he himself was fully fit. Chalk and cheese. The Ole years, Rashford played well (when fully fit) and in Ten Hag’s first season had a very good season.
Multi-club model is not good for the game esp when any other smaller European and South American footballing countries become inundated with these multi-club concept. The competition field is much reduced, crippling the opportunities for smaller clubs to grow. May be, business wise it could be good for the big clubs.
It’s obvious that we have a budding talent in Amass, yet we keep fielding fullbacks that easily get ‘disoriented’ on the left back position. How many times have that ‘trick’ failed? Countless times. Add that to not keeping A Fernandex or Reguilon (loan). That’s pure stupidity. Bottom line is, THROW AMASS IN THE DEEP POOL. He will eventually find his feet there.
The same fan base have been screaming for that practicality. You lots know exactly the financial state of the club in glazers era. So when ineos actually take the leap to improve the financial, the same fan base will crying out loud saying they are ruthless. Take a stand
Let's be honest, SAF has done well out of his time at Man Utd. Now you could make the argument that what he accomplished has catapulted Man Utd to a club that's worth billions today and compared to that what he has got out of it is pretty small in comparison but there were a lot of people involved in making Man Utd what they are today, he was a big part of course but just a part. I'm fine with this, he won't go short.

Why is everything handled so poorly at Utd. Every important decision just leaves a bad taste. I 100% understand the Sir Alex move but I think back to Sir Matt there was a quiet respect and none of this bad press. Utd are completely different now.....
Sam, not happy with INEOS -- they will walk away from United when the fiscal abacus doesn't add up. The boat in Barcelona is estimated at 100 million (which is some ego trip!). I don't trust them, it's worrying. Thank you and best to all. Kev.
Ferguson has a huge love of money. And he’ll also see the likes of the glazers still benefitting economically from the value he added. Of course he cares. There’s no way this was amicable. He didn’t have to work for this money. It was golden handcuffs from the Glazers to keep him sweet. Same reason they gave him a statue so soon.
14:13 This is because we have owners who can’t afford the club and years of profligate spending bad management. Not sure I trust INEOS either they’re willing to do anything but to what end?

Peter Kenyon, gave the reasons why Man Utd haven't gone for South American Players in the past? they come with no culture of Fitness, they come with zero timing, or punctuality, for training, they don't have the same commitment to training, or healthy living, and it causes issues with players already at the club, by them getting treated differently
