This tune will always bring happy memories to me. At the beginning of the rodeo, everybody rode their horses through a pattern in the arena. And this was the tune they always played. How many miles have I rode to this tune

Arai Choo of the Drifters was playing his steel guitar on TV show sometimes. He was a country musician and a comedian and a teacher! …in Japanese 1970's~early 1980's.
Hey Norm, this is an excellent arrangement, your technique is very clean, I've made a run at pedals a few times and decided I'd better stick to thumping bass and playing rhythm, with a little basic Dobro once in a while....keep up the good work! - Michael Hillman
Hubert, Thanks you very much. This is the arrangement I learned from a non-pedal steel player when I started playing steel guitar.. I always liked the arrangement, so I've never seen any reason to change it. Regards, Norm
I mean, really, you just can't do better than this on the steel & carry the intent of the song forward...think I'll go march around my yard for a while with a smile on my face -)
Wow Norm..you blew me away on this song...lol You did an awesome job on it! I love the little Bakersfield sound parts you added. What amp were you using in this recording? Maybe clue me in on your set-up. Sounds great!
Thanks Don, I think I'm remembering right, I was using a Goodrich 120 volume pedal, straight into a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Amp , mic'd with a Sennheiser 609 into a Korg D888 recorder. I may have added some onboard reverb in the recorder. I SHOULD HAVE NEVER SOLD THE PUSH PULL! Regards, Norm

Beautiful. Was wondering what tuning you used for this guitar?
