KFF Fly Tying 8/24: Dirty Harry

This month, we tie an interesting and easy to tie pattern recommended by our own Chris Williams, the Dirty Harry. The Dirty Harry pattern was developed by Captain Harry Meraklis, a popular fly fishing guide in the Outer Banks area of NC. Though it was developed for inshore saltwater species like redfish, it has proven very effective on many freshwater species as well.
Materials:
Hook: Gamakatsu SC15 hook in #4 up to 1/0
Tail: Gray fox (marabou works as well)
Tail flash: Krystal flash in pearl
Tail top: Red ultra chenille
Body: Standard Estaz or Ice Dub Chenille in regular/medium
Eyes: Barbell eyes in small or medium (vary size for different sink rates)
