Angelino Heights - The Second Oldest Neighborhood in Los Angeles

Angelino Heights was established in 1886 and is the second oldest neighborhood in Los Angeles, right after Bunker Hill. It is located in between Chinatown and Echo Park. The area is famous for having a lot of Victorian homes. There is a high concentration on Carroll and Kellam Avenue. There are many building styles: Craftsman, Art Decco, Bungalow, Colonial, Victorian etc. Many homes were destroyed when they built the Hollywood Freeway. Some homes have been used as film locations for TV and Movies. Angelino Height is literally minutes from downtown Los Angeles.
