Just as we rejoice over Leo or our own children and pets being found, our Lord receives us when we return to him with love. Thank you for sharing Luke with us. p.s. my cat is always happy when "found" but never repentant. 😼. Blessings, Mary Ann
It really is best to keep cats inside the house unless you are right with them in the yard. Keep them safe from predators, cars, injury. Thank God for the lady who helped Leo and took him to the vet. God bless all of our precious animal and human friends🙏🏻🕊️✝️❤️🐈⬛🐈
Hi there, they are actually our cats - all the animals at the Deanery were our own pets - and though we lost Monkey, the other three are still with us when we are in England (heartbreakingly we had to rehome everyone else as we had so little warning of our departure). When we get back to England we will make sure to have the cats with DR in the broadcasts (though of course they have been in broadcasts since we left, Lilly in the ones from Shropshire and Leo in the ones from Kent). Hope you are having a lovely day!? X
@@GardenCongregation Yes I’m aware that Tiger, Leo & Lily are your pets… what I meant was that at that point of time they were part of the cathedral (or deanery, to be more specific) landscape. It’d be lovely to see them in morning prayer again 😊
@@Fabwrite I felt sure you would know snd apologies for seeming to doubt it is just a little bit of a tender issue as we not only lost them but then folk started asking the Cathedral what had happened to them and a statement was released to say we had 'humanely slaughtered them all'. This clearly was just another slur and I worked really hard in horrible circumstances to find loving homes for each and every one of them. We shall be sure to include the moggies for you - do you have a favourite?
@@GardenCongregation Oh yes, I understand, no worries… my cat Lily & I we loved watching them all, including the Robins. She’s attracted to the cats too obviously, especially Tiger 😻😅
Thank you so much for this commentary on Scripture and Cats I mean cats! Yeah our Siamese eons ago was "lost" around Xmastide and hours later my folks came home, Dad opened the closet to put his jacket in, and out came the cat like nothing had happened. I think also this Parable of the Prodigal Son might reflect some of the Genesis stories about pairs of siblings and rivalries that do not necessarily end the way the elder expects them to do! Blessings from autumnal area here in the US
I found this to be very inspirational. It's a comfortable place to do our Scripture study. And there is a welcoming pot of tea to warm us up. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this moment and for the parable of the prodigal son. I read a book which I found fascinating about this story in the bible ”the story of the one who spent everything and lost nothing” an illumminating way of looking at the way jesus leaves us free to enjoy our own freedom and its risks and his everlasting benevolence and love. I wish st luke lasted longer!😅
This was super. My note writing is speeding up again, I want to capture so much. Loved the anecdotes on the family cats. Yes, I can relate to Tiger's escapade with Emma, an adorable past family cat. Thank you Dean Robert and Fletcher.
Good evening to you both.Thoroughly enjoyed this heart warming prayer service. Its the three parables that open up our own personal parables of life experiences that really can move us to the heart and hit hard to the heart and mind and spirit to think how in a moment loving moments can change our lives for the better and memories last forever and never are forgotten and we wash away happy tears and rejoice and are glad.We do celebrate the joys to life and thank Jesus who refreshes our lives. With love and light. God bless🐈🐈⬛ Thankyou for sharing your personnel parables with us.Thankyou
I must admit I miss the battles between Leo and the robin. My favorite part of Luke is how he tells us that when the cock crowed the third time, Jesus turned and looked at Peter, I can imagine the look of love and compassion he had for Peter. Thank you for these morning prayers, I still go back and listen to 2020 and 2021 daily.
The Parables of Jesus are very meaningful. That must have been an awful time when Monkey Leo and Tiger went missing .I know a lady whose cat jumped from a window and was missing three days. Thankfully, they are reunited, and the cat was unharmed. Does Tiger still dip his paw into the milk jug .Love and God Bless to you both from Joanne and Chris.xx ❤
@@joannejohnson Hi there! Yes he does! 🤣 He and Leo share the drawing room that Chris and Martin have so kindly carved off for us to use and so they spend all day staring at each other but when we are back we try to spend as much time as possible sitting in with them to keep them company and when we do that Tiger loves it if there is a milk jug! 😃
Thank you so much for Morning Prayer. I am enjoying learning more about the Gospel of Luke. The last lost and found story about Tiger on the Cathedral roof should be told and illustrated in a children’s book. God’s love that finds each of us and will not let us go.
Cats and their almost infinite ability to generate incredible stories! I wonder how many animals surrounded Jesus wherever he went, too bad the evangelists didn't record this...
I continue to watch the Garden Congregation videos; they serve as a source of inspiration and community.
Still blessed by your very calming voice reading a comforting psalm. Thank you.
LOVED your lost & found stories of your precious felines. Glad they all had happy endings.
Beautiful scriptures and lovely happy endings for you and your amazing felines.
Godspeed Dean Robert and Fletcher 🙏🙏🕯️🕯️🕊️🕊️

I can mange this length of morning prayer better than the longer ones no matter how lovely the location and lessons.
❤😻😻💜 stories of the 'prodigal' cats. Glad you were happily reunited. Thanks for sharing!
I remember you and your lovely animals. It was so peaceful and comforting. Blessings Sharon

I love the cat stories as illustrations of the workings of God! I am sure they would approve 😻
