Koh Yao Yai is a hidden gem close to Phuket. The island is hardly touched by the tourism.
Koh Yao Yai Island is one my favorite places in Thailand so far. For me it is far better than Phi Phi and many more other islands.
We took a boat to get to the island and stayed in one of the most Beautiful Resorts I have ever stayed. The staff in Koh Yao Yai where amazing. Is there only a resort on this island? We are part way in making an intinuarary and this island maybe part of it, if we could find a reasonable room.
Hey Lisa, there are few hotels on this island and few other places to rent. I booked our stay through Booking.com, try to check there and you will see what's available. Best of luck exploring the island it is so worth it!

It's Koh Tao island called death island, I was in Koh Yao Yai which is on the completely opposite side. Ofcourse it's your choice to choose where to go, but I am definitely planning to come back to Koh Yao Yai 😊
