  • DOES NOT FUNCTION! NOT A DEMONSTRATION! I was incorrect about who posted the picture of one on the vintage fan forums. It was actually Philippe Aubry.
The most hurtin blue line canarm on youtube!

Hey Jean! oh that wasn't you that took that picture of the 36 incher? lol woops I could have swore it was you.
The 36" does look really weird. I remember just staring at the one in the bakery all the time when I was a kid, thinking "what an ugly fan, I would never want it", nowadays I would LOVE to find one.

@@hobbycentral3516 Bonjour, no it was Philippe Aubry that posted that photo of a small one like this seen in a church in Québec in 2009. Yes the proportions are very off on the small version but the larger ones look very nice. Hopefully you can share photos of the ones still in your area.

@@LesVentilateursduQuebec I'm not sure I would be able to get a picture of the one in the college. but I'f I can work up the courage, I might ask the owner of the bakery if I could trade them for a new fan someday. it's litterally just plugged into an extension cord, so I think it could be classified as a temporary install thus not have any insurance issues if I swapped it out.

@@hobbycentral3516 At least if you could take a photo of the one in the bakery.

There is a habitat restore in hamilton I think that has a mix of 36 inch and 56 inch industrials that are these.

I know about the orange lines and the other ones by 10 arm and banville, but I did not know about the blue line, so that's pretty cool. I've never seen one before either in person.

I'v only seen one banvil orange line on youtube before , which surprise surprise, is also owned by Dan Spiffy Neuman lol. The orange line has got to be right up there in rarity as the blue line canarms

You never know, the windings could be perfect inside! Even if you don't find the other blades, i think it would still be interesting to try to open the motor just for inspection purposes.

I might just get talked into it yet!
I didn't find the other two blades yet , but your right, it would be interesting just to see whatsup

Wow that thing is rough lol. Pretty reminiscent of the pattorn air circulator that I posted on my channel a little while back, I recommend giving that a watch haha. I actually need to do a follow up video on that because *spoiler* I got the dang thing to run! (I like the challenge of bringing absolute junk that should’ve been in the scrap pile 20 years ago back to life because why not) It would be neat to see you give a go at trying to get the canarm going, it’s kind of one of those deals where you don’t lose anything, even if you can’t get it going because it’s already junk lol.

I will check your video out! and I agree, if it's junk, you've got nothing to lose by seeing if you can get it working again.(except for time i guess) but it's a learning experience! which is also important

I'm not entirely sure when they were made, if I had to guess they were probably from the 60's to 70's
