i'm saying.. on the eigth day god created rock n roll is THE WORST Kiss song ever! i own every Kiss album i'm aware of.. my first introduction to rock n roll. they broke my cherry when i was what.. 8-10 years old? my all time favorite band. i have nothing bad to say about 'em likewise, Dave Mustaine does no wrong. i have every megadeth album and every time i listen, i wonder why i ever listen to anything else. music only has to fill one criteria to be great.. it has to move you. sure, they have some songs that aren't my favorite but overall i love everything about them and the music.. put it this way, i never pass a song on the cd to get to the next one. i can listen to all of them. so yes, to me, based on no science, no others opinions, no technical merit.. all their shit moves me. again, yes.. Megadeth's worst album is fukin awesome.. to the point i don't have an example of which album is their worst. they may have a song you don't like and then the next songs wipes away the doubt. that's what i'm saying.. my comment doesn't have to make sense.. People complaining about the intro while it's probably one of the sickest part of the whole song ! this new stuff is a direct throwback to peace sells, so far so good, rust in peace and the system has failed ! drum parts are catchy, spot on and actually pretty aggressive, riffs are fucking raw and evil, and the sound production is less "roadrunner alike", pretty clean in fact !
Yeah the actual sound is way better than the RoadRunner albums the sound was really clear on SC as well. So Universal is clearly a better fit for the band. Not to mention the label actually respect Megadeth. RoadRunner were fucking hopeless.

This is one of the best tracks I have ever heard from Megadeth. There's a nice variety of riffs and time signatures with solos that are neither too flashy nor bland. The pacing is perfect, the musicianship is excellent, and the build up to 2:29 and then the transition to breakneck thrashing is simply awe-inspiring. Add Dave's raging snarls and you have a metal masterpiece. Endgame was a very good album, but I have not seen this level of greatness from Megadeth since Rust in Peace. This is a metal classic in the making.

One of the greatest guitarists and song-writers of all time, but he was nowhere nearly as influential and important as Mustaine is to the ENTIRE American metal scene.
I think the vocals are sick. Everyone is fretting about the tone but I think Dave's gritty, spoken word style is awesome. He is talking about political corruption and the collapse of societies. That alone makes his vocals top notch.
This album along with rust in peace got me into Megadeth and now I can't get enough.

If you can't hear the Peace Sells Era guitar influence this song (the second half) then you need to go back, listen, and realize that the bassline is Bad Omen-esque and the guitar riff and vocal melody are eerily close to Black Friday.

Amazing how recruiting an amazing Drummer can change the whole dynamics of you're band and songwriting...James Hetfield should take note, and finally bury the corpse of Lars once and for all. I remember Rob Cavenstany from Death Angel saying the very same thing when they recruited Will Carroll, he said his style of drumming led DA back to their roots and made them want to make heavier, faster songs, I believe Adler did just that for Mustaine.

TheMDbauS Off key, off tempo are the same thing IMO kind of like a singer singing off key, that's why I said Lars, if it was up to him, he would have the Unforgiven Trilogy and One as the whole set list, the guy just refuses to play Drums anymore, talk about going through the motions, you can clearly see him on stage struggling to keep up with the songs, with his face all twisted up, arms/legs on fire lol the dude just needs to hang the sticks up, or throw them in the trash one of the two.

My favorite track from Dystopia; It's so good. Also, the drums are absolutely killer.
I can't wipe this huge grin off my face. The production quality is pretty kickass. Chris Adler's amazing as usual. Kiko's guitar work gives Megadeth a new sound and Dave as usual is writing some catchy thrash riffs. This is definitely shaping up to be a follow-up to Endgame and a great album. I like how there's some Lamb of God flavor added in, it just gives it a modern feel while still being Megadeth. Nice work on the vocals too, sounding really crisp, Dave. Hopefully your brothers from Metallica are able to step up this time, so that I have two great albums to hammer through for the next year.

As a massive CoB fan it is safe to say I Worship Chaos is one of their best albums they have released recently, just takes a while to get used to it, keep listening to it, it's fucking amazing, Horns is the best track released since the Hatebreeder days!

On the other hand COB is my favourite band and I'm pumped for this album. I have it pre-ordered on iTunes which means I'll be getting it in about an hour and a half! I heard the cover of Danger Zone on the radio and I loved it. And Suicide Bomber and the Black Winter Day cover got leaked a couple weeks ago but were taken down. Everything I've heard from it so far sounded great.

Overall I like it. The first 50 seconds seems unnecessary. Should intro with that sick bass line at the minute mark. Dave's vocals are not overbearing like in Super Collider. Hope the rest of the album is like this or better.

To be fair Marty's solo stuff shows his talent more than in Megadeth. Kiko and Marty are deadset the same in my opinion. Although Kiko is slightly more technically proficient.

Epic_Paolo117 Not sure if I agree with that, If you are going through the actual thrash phase then yeah (except Muscatine wrote their first album, and some of the 2nd) However, if you go to their pop-thrash I disagree, they stopped being GREAT with the black album, their last album is a sort of return to their roots though.

I like to believe that Fatal Illusion is connected to the song Never Dead. Mainly because the ending riff of Fatal Illusion is very similar, maybe even the same as the pre-chorus riff in Never Dead. They also both mention something having to do with evil.

Well, Just got it today and must say, Very impressed. I have been playing guitar since I was 11. So, I have 43 years exp. playing and can play most any rock/metal .Never really liked or understood metal until I was about 35. Just so set in my ways growing up with ZZ ToP,Frank Marino,Ted Nugent etc... Guess I was not very 'Open minded" with my music. That all changed around 1999 I started listening to Testament and Megadeth while working out and it became my new fav. (Any guitarist that does not know of Alex Skolnick and seek out all his music is REALLY missing out!) Testament is the MASTER of all Metal period. But Dave and Co. are right behind them, this albun is really good. Thanks Dave and whatever that new guitarist name is.....Killer stuff.
