- im stuck atm, I have the car up for sale at $2280 and people offer me 1800, 1000 and I'm like bruh ima just fix this and list it back up for higher now cause I'm not over it anymore. SO not over it and about to be under it installing a turbo, this probably isn't the best idea huh ? I wanna hear your guys thoughts.

@ now 525i Vanos my target is now 540 I should go straight to that. But those nikasil engine blocks and automatic gearboxes scared me. 540 is German muscle car and holy grail same as M5 or B10 alpina 😍

Definitely subframe before turbo, unless you want to make your life way harder later on. The aluminum block in the z3 can handle a turbo, despite forum boomer dissent. 8-10 psi is probably good for that engine.

Take the BMW brick kseries and throw them up for $1500
Take the Range Rover and throw it up couple grand
Take the e46 on the side...throw it up.
Sell parts... its always a way to help yourself further
I wouldn't go down the rabbit hole of fixing all the small things if you're not invested mentally, sell it and get something you haven't worked on yet. Resets the brain a bit

Honestly do the turbo. Pulsar G30-660, Rapidspool or aliexpress manifold, some of those 911 EV14 injectors that are 60lb or so assuming you're on pump gas, ebay intercooler/charge pipe/BOV, whatever decent 44mm+ WG, PMAS HPX MAF or whatever cheaper one people are using these days. Don't fuck with the head gasket, studs, cluch or anything until you have to.
