    Earlier this year in January i got allergy because of mould in my house my went CUH Cork and started treatment but in my case doctor were so dumb they kept on prescribing me different kinda ointments and eyes drops and it made my eyes in very bad condition i remember in early February I was not able to open my eyes for 3 days the top eye lids on both eyes became so dead like rotten thought I will lose my eyesights. And for this I paid around 500-600 euros and later they told me I have psoriasis and blepharitis and treatment will cost around 1500-2000 euro. After talking to my family went back to home New Delhi in just 224 euros flight ticket, went to government hospital and got some medicines and eye drops and on third day my eyes were completely fine and I asked doctor what did i have and she just mentioned I got dried eyes nothing else and when i mentioned doctor in ireland told me I got psoriasis and blepharitis she laughed 😅. My eyes on third day all healed up like nothing never happened before. Its really fucked up here dont get sick in ireland.

    The healthcare system is two tier public or private. The puclic healthcare system in Ireland is a disaster, The healthcare system has had many reforms since the 1990s but these reforms hasn't lead to better outcomes or efficiency due to over-management and bureaucracy in the system which has led to continued cancelled appointments, inaccessible treatment access and waiting times. I suggest the UK NHS system is the best in the world in healthcare provision or in Denmark/Spain where the healthcare system there is universal access without the need to pay and based on need

    What according to your opinion is the best healthcare insurance one could take as a graduate which covers even normal dental expenses?

      There's Study and Protect medicover policy but it's there just for the purpose of getting the IRP card. I don't think it's accepted at major hospitals. There are other providers like Laya, VHI , Irish Life Health etc.. but I'm not aware of their products. Please get in touch with them and pick the best one for you.

    Hey .. is it possible to look for jobs in other European countries with the work permit ( 2 years stay back ) after higher studies ?

    • @AliveToTellaTale
      @AliveToTellaTale  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Ashvita, you can apply for jobs but the company should be willing to sponsor you a work visa in that respective country. The post study work permit is valid only in Ireland.

    Is healthcare free in Ireland like NHS in UK

    • @catherine5558

      Sometimes it often depends on where you live in Ireland. Some parts of Ireland offer very good care and some you have to either pay or be placed on an often very long waiting list to receive treatment. We have HSE which is very similar to NHS.

    Hi Sharmista! I love your videos. I can't thank you enough for the series!
    I am an incoming student to the University of Limerick in September 2021. The insurance part is immensely confusing and I don't really know what to take. It will be very helpful if you make a video on that.
    'Thank you so much!
    Love,

      Don’t come here, study in another country clearly our healthcare system is not up to the wonderful standard of the Indian one. Also I do not know if you realize it, but there is a pandemic going on and we have Hotel quarantine. The last thing we need is another bloody variant.

      That's a good idea Shivam but unfortunately if the doctor from India prescribes any medicines, I will not be able to buy them in Ireland coz they won't be valid to the local Irish pharmacies
