@@SharperByMichael I appreciate the offer! But unfortunately I can't rationalize the expense after already buying this one. But I will subscribe to your Channel!
I purchased the magnet version that cost more and did not receive it and the craftsmanship is terrible. It looked like it was not finished. Not worth the investment
@@ramsesdizon9987 Hi, I don’t think you received an order from us. Text me again if you haven’t already so we can catch up if you’ve already submitted a help request. Thank you
hey mate, listen i'm not saying you didn't do a great job it's just my opinion , so please don't take this the wrong way. why not have the "Cliff" where the blade is guided be even closer to the belt so that you can sharpen WHILE the blade is still held by the magnet, instead of lifting off, even if for a minimal distance kinda like how you'd be grinding something on a 72X2 belt sander wouldn't it be even MORE precise ?
The blade guide is actually very close to the belt and even has a cutout I made for the rollers that the belt moves on. I just used a small knife for this video lol but any blade larger than this, like a chef's knife, literally rests directly on the platform :) Thank you for your feedback! A 3.0 is in the works 🙏
Hi, I'm interested in your MK1 Riser V3.0 and have two questions. I've got the older Ken Onion Edition WSKTS-KO Knife and Tool Sharpener with the Ken Onion WSSAKO81112 Blade Grinding Attachment. Will your item work with this setup? Also your site shows two of these risers, one wide and one narrow. In the $64.99 price for the pair or only for one? I realize I'm late finding your video and hope you see these comments. I would've messaged you through IG but I don't have an IG account. Thank You!
I have units that will fit the original system you are referring to and the new work sharp system. They are categorized on the website and show which sharpeners they fit ✅ I hope this helps!
@@SharperByMichael Does the $64.99 price include both the narrow and the wide MK1 V3 pictured on your site or is it one or the other for $64.99. Thanks for the quick reply and also for helping to take the Work Sharp to the next level!
@@BLP-BrianLucasProject the variant options will show on the website when you tap and select them. The $64.99 price does include both units and the highest strength magnets 🙌🔥 I appreciate your comments/support!
@@SharperByMichael Awesome and I just saw your green roller vid on the MK1 with purchase. Appreciate all you do to make things better and easier for the Work Sharp.
Wouldn't the magnets used for the blade also attract metal dust to the work surface possibly causing scratches to the blade when sliding the knife to the belt?
Great point! I've used this setup on a few hundred blades and I haven't really noticed that issue. Usually, the dust is drawn to the magnets themselves and anything on the top platform I simply wipe off.
@@phdyoutubedegree1939 no, a new version is about to be released though that is available for pre-order on the website. We expect units to be shipping within the next few days! 🙌
@@poppacooter it may be an issue with the browser you are using (cookies?) I just gave it a try on 2 devices and it worked for me. Please let me know if you keep running into the issue and I can help you get it sorted out
@@SharperByMichael you are correct i was using google so i pasted the link in safari and it worked fine. my google has norton antivirus tat could be the problem . Thanks
It looks to me like it should be the width of the belt. As it stands, the guide looks like it would collide with the scales of a folding knife, or the handle/bolsters of a lot of fixed blade knives. But maybe I'm not understanding how it works in practice?
Good question! I’ll respond in the morning with more comments but as it stands we’ve tested the smaller platform size and found it to be less useful. This size is pretty great for most use cases ✅
I have the same attachment made by another company which has cutaways on the platform where it meets the belt and yeah bolsters and thumbstuds do get in the way.Still a usable system though and i find it much easier to maintain my angle with this.
A bit late to the party here as I've been more focused on orders and customer service but I wanted to post more thoughts on this and I've decided to instead work on many videos highlighting the product in addition to the official video for it (soon to come) Nonetheless, great question and it's even sparked our interest into expediting the completion of our narrow unit. Thank you!
Nice job Michael!
Thanks Mike! Yours is on its way! 📦
What a great idea. I just ordered one for my sharpening setup. This works with the grinding attachment, too. Right?
Yes. This fits directly on the Blade Grinder attachment for the Work Sharp system ☺
@@SharperByMichaelAwesome!
Wish I saw this before I bought a slightly more expensive one off of etsy that doesn't have the magnet.
Ooof! 😅 I may be extending discounts to customers who message me on Instagram… @sharperbymichael 🤫

I see not as good as the one i seen. the other one has a slider on top.
@@phdyoutubedegree1939 I’d argue the slider makes it worse.
