Hate fighting crucibles. Friggin tanks. But yes, I love that shield as well. I never tried farming there. Usually, just ignore em and then get that shield in Lyndell, I think. On future runs, I will definitely get it there early.

Me too and that in my first playthrough and I didn't know it was rare.. Me looking up everything I get. And I immediaty got this fantastic shield that mooks horrible with mu highwayman outfit. Like I said I'm just in the beginning bit got to level 41 quick with a stupid method off farming that giant on a Marika church. It took hours..
Edit I beated Margit and Godric but that's it from the main story bosses.

If you take down Mausoleum I despawns the soldiers in the field. The two church guards and the Wondering group near the church are still available. I love the Mausoleum soldier set great poise to weight ratio.
