the thing is, the office didn't just feel like a show. it felt like a lifestyle. the classic sitcom "laughs" weren't there, making it truly arbitrary, as creed would say. it didn't just feel like a show. it felt like as if each character was real. Jim's love for Pam, Dwight's infatuation with becoming manager, Michael's desperate attempt to find and be loved. These little quirks that built the characters, they exist within us ourselves. It gave us something to look for in life. That no matter how many obstacles come your way, whether it's another 364 days till pretzel day, a co-worker firing a gun in the office, or being in love with someone who doesn't see you the same way, you know that it gets better because you are going to get hitched at Niagara falls. and that's what made the office unique. being just a show, it was part of us. it was who we are. it was inside us. I genuinely thought I was the only one. But The Office is my happy place. It cures my anxiety to see their faces over and over again watching the same story unfold the exact same way. And I still cry every time I get done with the show.
It makes me so happy and warm to think that there are ppl out there who love this show as much as me. I feel like the characters are best friends from school and i moved away during a summer. Man, this show has a way of always hitting me right in the feels.
It doesn't matter how many times you've watched it. And that's what I like about this show. I watched this show by myself, recommended it to a friend, and am now watching with my mom. It doesn't matter your age. This show in the beginning looks transparent like another comedy with no depth or real plot. But I kept watching and saw how Jim felt about Pam, how Dwight and Angela had their secret relationship, etc. Seasons later Michael, Jim, and Pam made me cry way too much. We can all relate to this show in some form. Andy having unfulfilled dreams, Michael searching for love, Jim the prankster trying to win Pam over, Pam in an engagement with a man who she doesn't truly love, Dwight being constantly rejected as manager one of the only thing he thrives on, Oscar struggling in his office to have SOMEpeople except him as gay, Ryan has troubles with responsibilities, Toby being hated by ALMOST everyone, Darryl being ignored when he has great ideas, and later in the series Jim and Pam having marriage issues but neither one of them is going to give up their love it's a touching story that should get more recognition. There's more characters that we can relate to but this comment is getting long. All in all this show is the best no matter how many times it never gets old.

Imagine how empty Phyllis, Dwight, Angela and Meredith felt after the show. They worked with and filmed with the same people everyday for 10+ years and then one day Angela looked up and Kevin and Oscar weren't there, Meredith looks up and she sees another unfamiliar person other than Creed, Phyllis looks up and she doesn't see Stanley, Jim, Pam or Andy. Dwight looks out of the office where he spent so much time with his boss and friend Michael, he sees different faces, different people, calls in different people to his office, he got everything he wanted but somehow he probably feels empty with only a few faces he spent so much time with. Work is temporary, even if its 15 years temporary, but the friendships you cultivate at work, the memories you share are timeless and they become stories you tell to the new workers after the old ones leave.

I teared up at Jim and Pam's wedding and when Michael was happy with Holly, when I found out they married and had 4 kids. I laughed hysterically at some of Jims pranks on Dwight, but all of them made me chuckle. I started to cry a little when Andy was doing his leaving song, and I full on sobbed at the finale and what they all said, especially Andy. This song just has such an 'ending' feel to it.
My niece asked me how I knew when I grew up. I took a moment to answer, mind you I'm 19 just finishing my first year of college. I told that one day I woke up in a room that I didn't grow up in, I didn't have someone wake me up for breakfast, I didn't have friends I've grown up with waiting for me at school, and I didn't have anyone asking how my day was when I got back "home". It hit me real hard and I now realize how much I truly cherish my memories of friends and how I cherish those I can still talk to.
This show really teaches me to appreciate life while I’m living it, to appreciate all the people that are in your life, to really look at this life and just live it with all your friends and family....I’ve watched it like 28+ times and will keep watching it.

I’ve watched the entire office series 8 times now and I will say that the last episode always makes me cry. It’s just amazing how this show still brings people together and I think that it will continue to do that for many years in the future.

Sitting in my room crying. Its over. I can always watch the show again, but I'll never get to see Jim propose to Pam for the first time again, never see Michael Scottfinally find his true love for the first time, never see them all sing to him before he leaves for Colorado again, I'll never see Erin find her real parents again. So many moments that I loved as if they were my own. It only took me about 3 weeks to watch this show whole and I'll never regret it. I have never cared so deeply for fictional characters. This has been awesome. One of my favorite things ever. I'm definitely gonna rewatch it again in a month or two, because this truly brings me happiness to see my favorite characters grow.

I cant explain it but as a fluke watched this show for first time on Netflix. Had heard of it over the years but no idea about its content and had only heard of Steve C by way of his movies. I figured this show would annoy me so skipped it back in 2003 -2012. Besides I had other more dramatic shows to watch Breaking Bad ,SOA, Game of Thrones, etc. And they are great shows. But they are just that ... tv shows that are entertaining for sure well acted and written. Along comes the Office and in the first 5 mins I meet the characters that will live in my heart forever I think. I cant even attempt to describe why they touch me so much. I rewatch and rewatch whole shows and scenes and laugh cry and am amazed at how real these people seem to me. Then I hear the actors speak of their love for the show and each other and makes it even more special. I wish I had got to experience this show in its first run. Knowing it has been over for years really makes it more emotional for me. I hate to think of a day we lose one of these precious actors as down deep we hope they will reunite and like the Beatles we need ALL of the originals to be there. I know you cant recreate the magic of this time and cast. Thats why this song guts me because I want them to be back in the early days as they were all unknowns and were beginning their journey. I dont care if any one of these actors do another thing in their careers. They have given us such a special gift that will be enjoyed for eternity. There never will be a show to capture the human condition like the Office. I felt every moment and it was done with a @#$#% paper company as a backdrop. Incredible that a show can capture so much real life emotion and heart just by the interaction of humans that are created by talented writers and actors. The finale and all those final images are truly tear jerking and real. I see Jenna on John's lap knowing this is their last time together still so connected and Angela and Dwight and Phyllis thanking Jim for the Olympics as Creed play this song. I cant think of a show where I felt such a loss when it ended and how I miss it so much. The finale was perfect and a fitting end to this masterpiece. There will never be a show like The Office and its ability to make me want to watch it over and over with each viewing it is more enjoyable. To the creators actors and those who believed in this show early on thank you so much. I am in awe of how powerful this show was in presenting the two most important human traits - humor and love!

I just finished this show and I wasn't expecting to cry so much through the duration of the series. I hadn't connected to a show like that before. It was almost painful for it to end but I'm glad it's around to re watch anytime. Things are so mundane, but those are the things that really matter. We look for something extraordinary to happen all the time but living is extraordinary. We shouldn't push the mundane to the side. It makes us who we are. Strive for something more, but enjoy the small things while you're there.
the office is so appealing because it's the same for all of us. I have a group on Snapchat of all my friends from our last job after layoffs happen in 2008, we all still talk and reminisce every now and then. Still hurts a bit 🥺

There are certain shows that just pull you in as you watch them. Shows where you become so deeply involved with the characters it feels like you’ve gotten to know and understand them, so that makes the end of the show so much harder. The office is one of those shows.

the thing is, the office didn't just feel like a show. it felt like a lifestyle. the classic sitcom "laughs" weren't there, making it truly arbitrary, as creed would say. it didn't just feel like a show. it felt like as if each character was real. Jim's love for Pam, Dwight's infatuation with becoming manager, Michael's desperate attempt to find and be loved. These little quirks that built the characters, they exist within us ourselves. It gave us something to look for in life. That no matter how many obstacles come your way, whether it's another 364 days till pretzel day, a co-worker firing a gun in the office, or being in love with someone who doesn't see you the same way, you know that it gets better because you are going to get hitched at Niagara falls. and that's what made the office unique. being just a show, it was part of us. it was who we are. it was inside us. And that's what she said.

It makes me so happy and warm to think that there are ppl out there who love this show as much as me. I feel like the characters are best friends from school and i moved away during a summer. Man, this show has a way of always hitting me right in the feels.
It doesn't matter how many times you've watched it. And that's what I like about this show. I watched this show by myself, recommended it to a friend, and am now watching with my mom. It doesn't matter your age. This show in the beginning looks transparent like another comedy with no depth or real plot. But I kept watching and saw how Jim felt about Pam, how Dwight and Angela had their secret relationship, etc. Seasons later Michael, Jim, and Pam made me cry way too much. We can all relate to this show in some form. Andy having unfulfilled dreams, Michael searching for love, Jim the prankster trying to win Pam over, Pam in an engagement with a man who she doesn't truly love, Dwight being constantly rejected as manager one of the only thing he thrives on, Oscar struggling in his office to have SOMEpeople except him as gay, Ryan has troubles with responsibilities, Toby being hated by ALMOST everyone, Darryl being ignored when he has great ideas, and later in the series Jim and Pam having marriage issues but neither one of them is going to give up their love it's a touching story that should get more recognition. There's more characters that we can relate to but this comment is getting long. All in all this show is the best no matter how many times it never gets old.

Imagine how empty Phyllis, Dwight, Angela and Meredith felt after the show. They worked with and filmed with the same people everyday for 10+ years and then one day Angela looked up and Kevin and Oscar weren't there, Meredith looks up and she sees another unfamiliar person other than Creed, Phyllis looks up and she doesn't see Stanley, Jim, Pam or Andy. Dwight looks out of the office where he spent so much time with his boss and friend Michael, he sees different faces, different people, calls in different people to his office, he got everything he wanted but somehow he probably feels empty with only a few faces he spent so much time with. Work is temporary, even if its 15 years temporary, but the friendships you cultivate at work, the memories you share are timeless and they become stories you tell to the new workers after the old ones leave.

I know exactly what you mean man, everyone parted ways at the end which seemed really sad because only a few people of those workers remained in the office. This show taught me to cherish those friendships and memories you make at unlikely places.

I teared up at Jim and Pam's wedding and when Michael was happy with Holly, when I found out they married and had 4 kids. I laughed hysterically at some of Jims pranks on Dwight, but all of them made me chuckle. I started to cry a little when Andy was doing his leaving song, and I full on sobbed at the finale and what they all said, especially Andy. This song just has such an 'ending' feel to it.

My niece asked me how I knew when I grew up. I took a moment to answer, mind you I'm 19 just finishing my first year of college. I told that one day I woke up in a room that I didn't grow up in, I didn't have someone wake me up for breakfast, I didn't have friends I've grown up with waiting for me at school, and I didn't have anyone asking how my day was when I got back "home". It hit me real hard and I now realize how much I truly cherish my memories of friends and how I cherish those I can still talk to.

Sitting in my room crying. Its over. I can always watch the show again, but I'll never get to see Jim propose to Pam for the first time again, never see Michael Scottfinally find his true love for the first time, never see them all sing to him before he leaves for Colorado again, I'll never see Erin find her real parents again. So many moments that I loved as if they were my own. It only took me about 3 weeks to watch this show whole and I'll never regret it. I have never cared so deeply for fictional characters. This has been awesome. One of my favorite things ever. I'm definitely gonna rewatch it again in a month or two, because this truly brings me happiness to see my favorite characters grow.

Can’t even count how many times I’ve watched this show, and laughed, and cried. It was truly one of the most unique shows.
I cant explain it but as a fluke watched this show for first time on Netflix. Had heard of it over the years but no idea about its content and had only heard of Steve C by way of his movies. I figured this show would annoy me so skipped it back in 2003 -2012. Besides I had other more dramatic shows to watch Breaking Bad ,SOA, Game of Thrones, etc. And they are great shows. But they are just that ... tv shows that are entertaining for sure well acted and written. Along comes the Office and in the first 5 mins I meet the characters that will live in my heart forever I think. I cant even attempt to describe why they touch me so much. I rewatch and rewatch whole shows and scenes and laugh cry and am amazed at how real these people seem to me. Then I hear the actors speak of their love for the show and each other and makes it even more special. I wish I had got to experience this show in its first run. Knowing it has been over for years really makes it more emotional for me. I hate to think of a day we lose one of these precious actors as down deep we hope they will reunite and like the Beatles we need ALL of the originals to be there. I know you cant recreate the magic of this time and cast. Thats why this song guts me because I want them to be back in the early days as they were all unknowns and were beginning their journey. I dont care if any one of these actors do another thing in their careers. They have given us such a special gift that will be enjoyed for eternity. There never will be a show to capture the human condition like the Office. I felt every moment and it was done with a @#$#% paper company as a backdrop. Incredible that a show can capture so much real life emotion and heart just by the interaction of humans that are created by talented writers and actors. The finale and all those final images are truly tear jerking and real. I see Jenna on John's lap knowing this is their last time together still so connected and Angela and Dwight and Phyllis thanking Jim for the Olympics as Creed play this song. I cant think of a show where I felt such a loss when it ended and how I miss it so much. The finale was perfect and a fitting end to this masterpiece. There will never be a show like The Office and its ability to make me want to watch it over and over with each viewing it is more enjoyable. To the creators actors and those who believed in this show early on thank you so much. I am in awe of how powerful this show was in presenting the two most important human traits - humor and love!

This song is so true. I move a lot, I mean I've moved once a year for the past 6 years. And when I'm in a different place with different friends, I sometimes look up and see a familiar face. Just finished The Office. Revolving in my head as if I was there , how will I carry on without seeing them everyday , how can I possibly handle the fact that they wont ever be together again , how can I possibly fathom my love for them ,ALL THE FACES I KNOW
good thing netfrix has it. like all self-respecting office lovers the end only means you get to start at the beginning again.

I just finished this show and I wasn't expecting to cry so much through the duration of the series. I hadn't connected to a show like that before. It was almost painful for it to end but I'm glad it's around to re watch anytime. Things are so mundane, but those are the things that really matter. We look for something extraordinary to happen all the time but living is extraordinary. We shouldn't push the mundane to the side. It makes us who we are. Strive for something more, but enjoy the small things while you're there.
the office is so appealing because it's the same for all of us. I have a group on Snapchat of all my friends from our last job after layoffs happen in 2008, we all still talk and reminisce every now and then. Still hurts a bit 🥺
i just finished the show like 3 days ago and ive rewatched the finale twice and god its just amazing how everything fell into place and it makes me so emotional

There are certain shows that just pull you in as you watch them. Shows where you become so deeply involved with the characters it feels like you’ve gotten to know and understand them, so that makes the end of the show so much harder. The office is one of those shows.

I'm still on the 6th season of The Office and I'm tearing up listening to this. I didn't know I would get attached to this show so much.
I finally finished the office today and I can't believe how much I cried. This show has been a memory, happiness and an adventure. I can honestly say this is the best show I've ever watched in my 18 years of existence.
