It's actually sort of a jet system. It's called a turbo

@@jake9671 nope, there still piston inside, turbo is used to bleed in air and change the compression ratio rapidly and sustain it. A jet engine is not an internal combustion engine

Rightly said. Good observation. Clearly the LP was mindful of the stress on the couplers and was hence gently tugging in the beginning to overcome the inertia.

@@sunnychekrs7597 i was wondering that, because I know these loco's can pull much heavier load, and I've seen few LP's kick in the acceleration right at the start, and you can hear the chugging of each compartment grinding. When i saw the initial part i was wondering if he can pull the load. didn't click about the stress on the couplers.

Dehu Road, Khadki n ShivajiNagar are stns of Pune-LNL section where freight load is looped for long duration. I had seen a single WDG4 of Pune shed at Dehu Road loop where it was trying hard to pull loaded wagons of fertilizers... the loco was moving back nd fro by inches for 3-4 mins before sand dispatch nd then moved out... I was standing very nxt to the loco seeing it struggle nd roar...

Pranits Railworld yes KMST, CCH have sidings but DEHR, KK and SVJR are mostly used that too for long periods.
Even Talegaon's main line is also used for freight load...
I realised now... by mistake I said Khadki n ShivajiNagar have loop for freight. Its actually the mainline... Sorry galti se mistake hogayi 😀
