Two things: Yuta didn't show up in Shibuya because he's been in Africa and the incident lasted all of a couple hours and Inumaki lost his arms because he was at the edge of Sukuna's Domain Expansion. They show a scene of him standing around before he expands it.
If you go back to the sukuna vs mahoraga ep you'll see inumaki for a split second just before sukuna uses his domain expansion so unfortunately he was just collateral damage from that mess

You do realize Yuta was in Africa and all of this was happening within a few hours of each other. Also if you remember from the movie Yuta does not play about his friends. He was very close to Toge and Yuji/Sukuna cut his arms off. He doesn't know Yuji and really if we're honest it is Yugi's fault. If he would have been put to death none of this would have happened. If you look at it logically, it makes sense. The city is destroyed and millions of people are dead no one cares whether he meant to do it or not. 😂 I think it would be more interesting for Yuta to actually try to kill Yuji. This show is not sunshine and rainbows like other animes, so I don't think they will shy away from it.
Welllllllll i wouldnt say NONE of this wouldnt have happened lol. "Geto" still would have been an issue regardless. the ONLY thing that wouldve been avoided possibly would be ALL the deaths from his DE. and thats if he wouldnt have been res'd another way

Yuki Tsukumo and yuta are the two strongest right now after Gojo got sealed, they're both special grade sorcerers, either one could've been appointed yuji's executioner. Yuta wanted to do it cuz he said he cut off inumaki's arms (sukuna did when part of inumaki's body was in his domain vs mahoraga). Higher ups also never give missions to yuki anymore because she ignores them completely and hates them a lot. She's basically a female gojo in that sense where she also hates the higher ups, only difference is due to gojo's job he has to put up with them but he always does things his way, yuki just straight up ignores their existence

Remember that Yuta forged a pact with the higher ups to gain their trust he will end Itadori Remember that breaking binding vows made with oneself made you lose what you gained But the consequences of breaking pacts made with other people is random divine punishment. So he has to do it

Then they could do something like what ik demon slayer did with like mugen train and make the rest of shinjuku a movie cause i feel like splitting it up in a season would drag kinda like it did reading weekly in the manga
yuji said it last episode, his role in this war in simply killing curses, there doesnt have to be a reason, he'll just keep killing him, theres no one else in the area, only curses
yeah so Kamo Noritoshi (Fake Geto, I won't spoil his real name yet) is trying to optimize cursed energy, cultivating the strongest by having everyone kill each other and what remains will be the future of Jujutsu society. Kinda like the Viltrumites in Invincible

After months of trying (key word) to avoid spoilers, I finally read and caught up on the manga. This entire last episode makes so much more sense now.
