This is so much easier than what I've been doing for almost three years! 🙄 I record a heap of takes on separate tracks, cut them into clips, put them on to a new track, then merge the clips. Then I either hide the tracks in a submix "extra lead vox bits" or something, or delete the tracks and save the edit as a new edit. I know I watched this when it came out, because the like button has been hit, but for some reason, it just flew straight out of my head again!
Thanks Zane! 👊🙂👍
been over 5 years and am still learning from your videos
Yep, this is what comping should be like! I just watched this after your "Best DAW for beginners" video where I commented that I wasn't happy with GarageBand's recording/comping capabilities, and it tells me that I'll definitely give Waveform a try! I also love that it's multi-platform. Waveform vs. Reaper - fight!
Best tutorial about comping.very useful

Midi comping ? or is it only audio comping?
Anyone know how to comp without loops/takes? I'm trying to comp multiple 1-take tracks together.
Beautiful... I'm not aware of any other daw that does it this easily...
Thanks 👍
Gosh, huge noob facepalm for me, been using Tracktion for years (though still at amateur level) & never knew about this feature!!
All this while, i've been recording separate takes on separate tracks (in the same submix), then painstakingly cutting out & muting parts of each track to get my preferred final "comp track"! 😓
I hope comp recording helps to speed up your workflow now. Thank you for watching. Keep creating! 👊👍
@@AudioTechTV By the way, if it weren't for your new "Waveform Workflow Tips" video leading back to this older guide, i might have continued being clueless about this insanely useful feature, so, thanks again! 🥲
