What I like about your channel bro is that you legit listen to the albums like you’re by yourself. You give your inputs at the right time and just vibe! Glad to have subscribed 🙌🏽
Fire album (feel like the level of the tracks 'K.O.S.' & "Thieves in the Night' are all time classics but fly so far under the radar) - you gave it the acclaim it deserves RIGHT HERE! Some album thoughts (there are so many but just thinking of samples from across that golden era of some of the true Monsters: Fugees "The Score" / The Roots "Illadelph Halflife" / Outkast "Aquemini" / Tribe Called Quest "Midnight Marauders" / Dr Dre and Snoop "The Chronic" / Gang Starr "Hard to Earn" / Pharcyde "Bizarre Ride to the Pharcyde" / Cypress Hill "Black Sunday" / Souls of Mischief "93 Till Infinity / ANY OF THE FIRST ROUND OF WU TANG SOLO PROJECTS, especially Rae and GZA..... left out too many to count - love what you are doing here, feel the reaction right there with ya bro.
Yo fam…. I greatly appreciate your reaction!! You reminded me of when i first heard this artistry!!! You area natural at what you do!. Shout out from NYC!!🫡😎👍💪💪💪. Salute to all your other reactions too!!! We all appreciate it brother!😎
I really enjoyed seeing your reaction to these songs on the album. It was the same as mine back in 1999 😂 Thank you young Kng for recognizing and showcasing this iconic album. Peace & blessings
The Brown Skin Lady sample in the beginning is played on a Podcast I listen to daily, he ends the program with that to end the broadcast. Glad to see someone peep hip hop/rap because the myth is it's all gangsta rap and violence. This is should be on people's bucket list for albums. 🧠💯👍🏾
The sample is originally from an independent movie called Chameleon Street that was written and directed by Wendell B. Harris Jr. Great movie and can absolutley recommend it. Criterion released a restored 4k version 2 years ago or so.
Bro, I still will be sitting by myself reciting Thieves in the Night, randomly, 25 years or whatever since this album dropped, that song is burned on my brain
I'm glad to hear you say you felt at peace...that's really what this album does for me. The love Yasiin and Talib have for our people, for hip hop and for our culture as a whole is palpable and it's energizing and refreshing.
Yr smile towards the end of Definition is my feeling towards this whole project every time like… there’s certain hip hop LPs I cherish and know every word and it’s get me going… but there’s nothing that brings an ear to ear grin than Mos and Kweli’s chemistry
It's great to see more and more people experiencing this album for the first time. I remember when it came out (I'm 43)...and it was one of the albums that changed my whole perception of hip hop and brought me back to what I love most about the artform. 🥰🥰
The Childrens Story song was a play on Slick Ricks original Childrens Story song, check that one out its a classic frfr.... Slick Rick straight legend! (Although I dont really like the video for the original Children Story i think it took away from the song)
Yeah this was really cool. It seems really rare for rappers to cover a rap. But I recognized it right away because it was a popular Slick Rick song and I finished h.s. in 1990 so I knew popular music 🎤💪
as an old head... i love seeing young brothas discover music i grew up with when i was yalls age 😂 so dope shoutout to the youth yall real hip hop forever bless up!!
You got to do Aaliyah first album Age Ain’t Nothing But Nothing A Number written and produced by R. Kelly except At Your Best which is a Isley Brother sample. It’s a get mix of R&B, Hip hop, Jazzy feel with a gospel texture and soul all in one perfect album
You think this is something….. Mos Def: Black on both sides Reflection Eternal (Talib Kweli/Hi Tek): Teain of thought. 99-01 was a Golden Zenith in Hip Hop
Back in the late 90s and then eqrly 2000s id just walk to and from school. On the bus. Listening to these 2. Educating you. I loved it. So much truth on this album and kater ones.
Not sure if anyone else so sorry if I sound redundant. Children’s story is based on Slick Rick’s “Children Story” except Mos switches the subject matter within the construct of that original song it’s like triple brilliant
Please react to Talib Kweli Get By. You won’t be disappointed. He sets it off wit “We sell crack to our own in front of our homes. We go through episodes too like Attack of the Clones. Just to get by” 🔥🔥🔥 track. It’s on the Quality album which is dope all the way through. Keep up the reactions money. They’re taking me back. Real hip hop taking no shorts.
Brown-skinned women are great. I plan to vote for one, Claudia De La Cruz for president. But I also respect Dr Cornel West for pres. Peace to all ✌️🕊️🌍
This is what Kendrick is talking about…Yasiin and Kweli are MCs of the highest caliber and are not pop. They are Hip Hop disciples who studied the foundation.

@@yazeedyairbey heavy rotation bruh. To me that album has no skips and I do not say that lightly.
