There's no way we could get another battlefront game anytime soon. But if it does get a new developer to finish the game on the creators own terms, than there is hope
@horse2483 maybe not from there, but possibly from either an indie gaming company or from the same gaming company that tried to get KOTOR remake in development and Eclipse
@@TemptingNoisein terms of content yes. I doubt we will ever see a PC build from November 08 (the one shown in the leaked internal trailers) while the Wii build has lower quality models and many other broken things in it (most notably, skyboxes and lighting) it’s still a genuine treat to have any form of R9 available at all.
@@kobold7466ya we had Star Wars games that were cancelled under EA for example an open world Star Wars game a Star Wars Battlefront spinoff an action adventure open world video game by Visceral Games and then EA shut down Visceral Games then EA claimed that they cancelled it because people are not interested in single player games anymore
Best chance we got are Battlefront legacy modders completing all maps and campaign story and cutscenes, basically rebuilding the game on SWVF2 engine, or somebody working on turning this leaked Wii build into a complete game playable on PC.
The closest thing we have to battlefront 3 is battlefront elite squadron. I played it and it's really good, it is basically a PSP port of BF3 if I not remember bad. Also, the game can be played in any platform whit a emulator. I played it in my phone and the game worked surprisingly well!
The only thing that really holds it back is the lack of the classic class system and the lack of maps, but even then it was a solid game for what it was. So much untapped potential and we still haven't had anything that has come close to the same level of ambition.
@@gabethebabe3337 yeah, the lack of classes was something bad. but the game compensated it whit star wars renegade squadron mechanic where you can create your class whit his stats and equipment. It is really fun to play whit a incinerator, wrist rockets and the rage bonus at the same time! Also, there is the BF3 mod for battlefront 2 (2005). It haves space to ground battles and a lot of amazing stuff that makes it unique!!!
If you take a closer look, this has a lot of similarities with the Force Unleashed port for Wii. If you pay attention to the character movement, especially with melee during combat, you can tell that it's a stiff. That's because it's accounting for the Wii's remote's motion control. Same thing with the Force Unleashed. Since you're supposed to be swinging the controller to do the lightsaber movement, the corresponding movements are janky. Compare that with the PS3 and 360 versions: the combat movement there is much more smooth and fluid. This is due both to the PS3 and 360 having much more powerful hardware and combat being tied to buttons instead of the controller movement.
While I understand all the posthumous praise Free Radical's SWBFIII has received given its ambitious scale and the hard work of the devs, I don't get why so many people are claiming it would've been a 'masterpiece'; it would have been a buggy mess that its own engine could barely handle let alone the computer. Even in this trailer the render distance for some of the starships wasn't great. Imagine trying to play this on a regular computer with multiplayer. Obviously, if it was made with today's tech it would be excellent, but it is wrong to kid ourselves that SWBFIII would have done so well. Even games like Fallout New Vegas were initially criticised for their major bugginess, and in that case, the developers were able to patch up the game, but it is unlikely that this would've been possible for this game to improve.
Probably not. BF3 has been teased and leaked so many times that it's just a myth at this point. Also, BF2 is pretty well-done in my opinion, and the mod support makes it even more diverse.
Do you think we will ever get another Battlefront game?

You mean the best and perfect Battlefront game? I doubt there ever will 😢
I kind of hope not. At least not from some shitty "AAA" company
@horse2483 maybe not from there, but possibly from either an indie gaming company or from the same gaming company that tried to get KOTOR remake in development and Eclipse
I love seeing more about Star Wars Battlefront III. But the more I see, the sadder it makes me. This game could have been a masterpiece.
Yeah, it's crazy to think we may never see a Battlefront 3 ever. I'm assuming if we ever get another battlefront it will be another reboot
This is pretty much close to finish so we kinda do have it

Does any other franchise or gaming series have a graveyard of canceled games as big as Star Wars? Like seriously I wanna know.
The amount of games collectively shutdown by EA after purchasing a developer
treyarch had an infinite amount of zombies content cut

Valve my friend. Half life 3, Portal 3, Left for Dead 3 and other new IPs cancelled.

the closest thing we have is galactic contention a star wars mod for squad and it doesen't even play as battlefront game

i had this game on PSP
The Holy Grail of BF3 is here!
Have you ever played elite squadron on the psp? I’m pretty sure I remember going from space to ground combat when I was young lol

Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) is my favorite game of all time and I wish Lucas Arts and Pandemic would have just resolved things
Bro those incinerator stormtroopers with the red scars look soooo cool 0:01

We could have had this!!! they need to bring that game back to production!!!
Cool, I'm waiting for new gameplay (which was not in the alpha version) or information about STAR WARS FIRST ASSAULT.
space-ground combat was in battlefront 2015
Battlefront III had a great artstyle
I still want this on console and all the Battlefront mods for console.
I wish we had this game on PS3.
Is this possible for us to download then? I’ve downloaded the legacy mod and tried that out before
Funny I just look out to see if there is gonna be one and fall on your video 😎

Weres force unleashed 3
Show the leack, wtf is your problem?

I still feel like these modder will probably finished the entire game and put it under a code name and have the game on steam but from a personal site
